For a "Five Guys" it was just okay. But their burgers are not nearly as good as back in the States. I just wanted a good burger and back home, Five Guys is always a good option. They were very nice when I ordered and the menu is the same as what I was used to. When I got to my room to eat, the burger looked exactly as I expected... until I began to look at it. The lettuce was just a single piece of sort of wilted iceberg lettuce. I'm not sure why they couldn't have included more and used fresher lettuce that was crispy and crunchy. I ordered my burger with jalapeno and I assumed since it was on the menu, they would put them on. I found one slice of jalapeno. And yet I had ordered it with no mushrooms and it was full of mushrooms. I realize mushrooms might be more common place over here, but I specifically asked for jalapenos. The beef also was a little less than desirable. I never thought there would be such a difference in beef, but it lacked the flavor I'm used to back in the states. And coming from Texas, the beef is fresh and certainly has a different taste to it. The burger was hot, fresh and looks amazing. But the taste was bland, the lettuce wilted and sparse and they seem to hold back on toppings (jalapeno). I also ordered fries which Five Guys is also very know for. They were cooked well, but taking ketchup was a bit of an ordeal. They have the traditional small paper cups for eating in. They also seem to have small plastic containers with lids but you have to ask for them and when you do, all I received was one and this was for a medium order of fries. I do not know whey they don't have them available to just use at will but if I have to ask, why not give me a few or even ask me how many I want? I was only able to get one slice of jalapeno and one plastic cup for ketchup. I'm not sure why this place is so restrictive. Back in the states, the burger would have been loaded with jalapenos and I would not have to ask for the plastic cups. If you are coming to Five Guys and you have never experienced it... I would just say this place is average and does not truly represent the type of meal or service you would receive at a Five Guys in the states. It was disappointing as I was really craving a bit of food from home and instead, received something less.

I don’t usually eat out due to anxiety, but after an appointment I decided to stop at Five Guys in Oxford for a quick bite before my bus. I was feeling a bit on edge and honestly nervous about who might serve me but I was met by the loveliest staff member, a man with tattoos on his arms and a grey beard, who instantly put me at ease. He was incredibly kind, patient, and made me feel comfortable straight away. I asked if I could eat inside even though I’d ordered takeaway, and he couldn’t have been more accommodating. Just a genuinely warm and helpful person. While waiting for my food, I was people-watching and noticed how well the team got on with each other, lots of positive energy and a real sense of teamwork, which felt so wholesome and comforting to see. The food was amazing (as always with Five Guys!) and I made sure to thank the man who served me before I left. The whole team working that afternoon Friday 20th June deserve a shoutout. I’ll definitely be back next time I’m in Oxford. Thank you for such a lovely experience.

Not been to a Five Guys before, so when on one of my very infrequent visits to Oxford town centre I popped in to see what all the fuss was about. I must say the prices seemed a little steep. No menu or price lists at the door, so you have to go inside and upto the counter to see a menu. The cheese burger was ok if looking a little sad and tasted average. The cajun fries were a good size portion and quite tasty! The soda at £3.75 was a little pricey but you do get a free refill. Overall the service was quick, polite and friendly & the staff seemed happy in thier work. All of the above came to £17.45 I must say that I have had better for less. Reduce the portion size of the fries, loose the free soda refill and bring it down to around £12 and it would be much better! Just checked my receipt and I was charged for and given a regular portion of cajun fries even though I asked for a small portion.

Khaled Saliem made a truly embarrassing mistake and lost his temper and presented a threatening manner towards me after placing my bag on the collection table at the entrance to the restaurant and boasted how he has banned loads of deliveroo drivers from the store, I enquired that there are several pieces of infomation taped to the collection table is there anything regarding not to place a delivery bag on here? He stated he makes the rules And I enquired who he is and he told me he's the district regional manager. It begs the question that a disabled person may not be able to bend to the floor, or elderly may struggle too, so clear rules was a logical point raised. With a staff witness next to us I stated I am been calm and professional and may I make a suggestion to which Kahled Saliem replied he's not Intetested, therfore I made the kind request for Khaled to be more professional next time please, to which he aggressively replied I won't be serving you again. He provided zero reason to ban me, and to think alot of deliveroo are self isolating and khaled Saliem the regional manager had no idea there is a pandemic and vuneral, elderly sick children are depending on deliveroo to deliver orders in a timely manner. This manager has only displayed malice and some sick evil towards a crisis and outs the supply chain at risk. Only his ego and pride are to blame. Yet five guys employ people like this who present risks in the supply chain and deformate others and the company who employes them. Bear in mind this regional manager is an Oxford University graduate and worked/studied in Neurology and has an accolade of skills and customer attributes in his linked in profile yet in reality displays a hypocritical nature and is a false reflection of the profile. He can not take ownership of his actions and puts others at risk, he disrupts the flow of commerce to deliveroo people and puts vulnerable people at risk who rely on a service. Five guys need to be made aware of this man. Under equality of law five guys are not above the law therfore the unjustified banning breaks the bill of exchange act 1881 revised 1886 where by khaled saliem has disrupted the flow of commerce. Not only to my self which carries a financial tort (a legal liability) of which I will apply he has deformated his own employers in public. Here is the police reference number after reporting his verbal abuse and this is all on record, the police stated themselves that he needs to be thinking about the vulnerable people who rely on deliveroo to drop the orders and how will people react to been customers of the store knowing that the regional manager bans deliveroo for 'no reason at all'  and boasts about it. This recording from the police conforming that statment will be made publically avaliable aswell. Here is the reference number,...

Nice offering for Oxford. Good communication from staff. Very clean even after busy lunch period.

Spacious restaurant with ample seating. Really nice for Oxford as most places just have a couple uncomfortable chairs jammed in the corner...up the stairs. Brightly lit with lots of windows.

I recently had the hot dog and it was really good, And it’s nice to be able to choose free toppings like fried onions and mushrooms.

In my opinion the only downside is that a fountain drink is slightly more than £3. Even with free refills it seems a bit pricey however the vending machine is a bit novel. And free refills. I was going to give this place four stars because of the drink price but to be fair you don’t have to pay that so I give it five stars.

To Europeans who may be unfamiliar, You can refill your beverage for free. Yes, FREE. I know what you’re thinking:

How can they do that? Nobody does that. Why would they do that - free refills? Is there something wrong with the soda? Why would anyone want to drink that much? Oh my God the machine dispenses ice why would anyone want ice? I like my drinks room temperature and small. WHY IS IT SOOOO BIIGGGG. Why is the machine accessible by customers so they can drink as much as they want? Why does the machine have so many zero calorie options? Why are the soda machine so big and why two? We like to wait in line for drinks so it should be one machine.

If all those things bother you just asked for a free water cup and shut...
