The Harcourt Arms — Restaurant in Oxford

We were going to Woodstock (Blenheim Palace) for a concert and didn't know the area but wanted to stay in a nice venue. After checking reviews we chose The Harcourt Arms in Oxford and what a great decision. When we arrived we were greeted by Illinca who checked us in, she was lovely, very welcoming and helpful. The actual venue has been renovated and is stunning, we stayed in The Painswick room which overlooked the back garden, there was a hairdryer/shampoo/conditioner/body lotion/coffee/water and even a fan as the weather was very hot. We were told there was a village festival going on and it was £10 a ticket and included fish & chips or chicken curry or veggie curry, we cancelled our dinner reservation and opted for the festival ticket, it was lovely. We were also helped with info by Connor and the Manager Dragos was very knowledgeable. All the staff from the Housemaids to the chefs made our weekend trip fantastic. If we go back to Oxford, we most definitely would stay at this beautiful, friendly, spotless...

Shock horror!! My original.rwview is below BUT!! Walked into my most favourite pub in Oxford only to sne tge sweetly sickly snell.of somrone vaping and not even in the garde but in the bar. When I complained to the bar maid she said the people working worked there! Wgen I asked her if the landlord Ian, great guy, knew propke were vaping on the bar she blanked me!! NOT IMPRESSED! The lunatics have raken over the asylum!! Why can't vapers just sit outside!! Why does everyone else have to smell snd breath in their pollutant. My 5 star pub has just dropped to ONE STAR! me + a mate went out into oxford for a change + went into Jerico area to the back street pubs, we had a few drinks in different pubs we ended up in The Harcourt Arms which had 3 guys playing + singing the place was busy but only the landlord serveing so not to long a wait, the garden is all slabed with plenty of seating + being enclosed it wasnt to hot with a big tree giveing shade. its a place i will be going back to in a few months with a nice atmosphere + live music...
