Starbucks — Restaurant in Plymouth

Good points: The shop itself is always clean and has a nice atmosphere- much the same as other Starbucks. The staff are friendly. There are two toilets which are clean and work. Shop is wheelchair accessible. Parking is free for 3 hours and usually plenty of spaces. It is close to the gym for an after workout coffee/snack, and also walking distance to the few other shops.

Negatives: Quality of hot drinks is inconsistent. Usually I have a flat white which was great initially but the last couple of drinks have been disappointing with no latte art and badly steamed milk. Thought I'd try a Cappuccino last time but this was also disappointing- it came in a huge mug so tasted very milky and had no chocolate powder. I'm guessing it was one shot of espresso for the huge mug I was given which was why it tasted so bland. Seems to be quantity over quality.

Also tried some of my son's praline cookie hot chocolate which was disappointing as it tasted of sweetener. Was a huge cup for the price but, again, the quantity does not make up for poor quality.

For the price the drinks should be consistently good. The rewards scheme also offers little value.

I’ve visited here 3 times now, given the benefit of the doubt and waited to review but every single visit I’ve had a poor experience and they have messed up our orders. It’s just unacceptable. The Staffs attitudes do need looking at too, they should be apologetic when rectifying wrong orders, not rude and made to feel like customers are being difficult. First visit given 2 standard hot chocolates when paid for 2 deluxes, young blonde girl at the front didn’t even apologise. Second visit through drive through given the completely wrong drink, had to get out the car and come in for it to be rectified and they even forgot the cream second time round. Third visit today, asked for a sit in and got takeaway drinks, food in bags and missing chocolate on cappuccino. This establish needs to be looked at, and management need to sort the staff out. I had an excellent experience at the Starbucks in Coypool Retail Park, Plymouth. From the moment I walked in, it was clear the store was well-run. Emma, the manager, and her team were friendly, efficient, and genuinely attentive.

The cleanliness of the store stood out—it’s one of the tidiest Starbucks I’ve ever visited. The attention to detail made the environment feel welcoming and comfortable.
