I am writing this review to express my extreme disappointment and frustration with the abysmal customer service I encountered at the McDonald's Clements Attle way. Our recent visit on 23/06/24 left me appalled at the lack of professionalism and disregard for customer satisfaction.
Upon arriving at the drive-thru to order frappes, my family and I found ourselves waiting in an excessively long queue. It is customary for McDonald's staff to instruct customers to move to the next line if their order is not ready. However, on this occasion, no such communication was provided, leaving us stuck in the queue for a staggering 20 minutes before being served.
To make matters worse, when it was finally our turn to receive our order, we were met with the most unprofessional and disrespectful behaviour from one of the staff members. Instead of attending to us promptly, she engaged in idle chatter with her colleagues, completely ignoring our presence and failing to inform us of any delay. In an attempt to avoid our son's frappe from melting, I asked my husband to request the two available frappes so that our son could enjoy his drink while we waited for the third one. Shockingly, the staff member not only disregarded our request but also ignored my husband's polite attempts to get her attention. It reached a point where we had to resort to honking the car horn just to gain her attention.
When my husband finally managed to ask if we could have the two frappes, the staff member callously responded that we would have to wait for the remaining one, as if our payment did not entitle us to receive what we had ordered. The sheer lack of consideration and respect towards us as paying customers was nothing short of appalling.
To address our concerns and express our dissatisfaction, my husband requested to speak with the manager, who introduced himself as Jack. However, even our interaction with Jack proved to be a disappointment. Instead of offering a sincere apology or addressing the attitude and rudeness of his staff, he simply acknowledged the inappropriate behaviour and handed us our order in a sarcastic manner, wishing us a "good day."
It is disheartening to witness such a blatant disregard for customer service and professionalism at a well-known establishment like McDonald's. The lack of accountability and the complete absence of an apology only further highlights the need for proper training in customer service for the staff.
In conclusion, my experience at McDonald's was beyond unsatisfactory. The poor customer service, lack of communication, and disrespectful behaviour exhibited by the staff member, as well as the dismissive attitude of the manager, Jack, have left me with a negative impression of this particular McDonald's location.
I sincerely hope that McDonald's takes this review seriously and recognizes the urgent need to address the issues raised. Improving customer service training and instilling a culture of respect and professionalism among the staff should be a top priority.
I strongly advise potential customers to reconsider visiting this McDonald's location until significant improvements are made in their customer...
Read moreA Mickey D’s manager once told me that ‘if’ you want fresh hot food, then please don’t hesitate to ask the order taker to make a ‘fresh drop’ on your item such as fish fingers.
I’ve always done that, but still I have to check the fish fingers since they quite frequently make a mistake and put in the old ones that are well well past their freshness
I visited today the 6th of Decemeber at 2232. I waited about 5mins before I asked for someone to take my order. A young man was in the middle of processing an order and appeared confused so I said please finish what you are doing I shall wait.
Meanwhile a young lady came and took my order. I asked for two happy meals with fish fingers and asked for them the be dropped fresh for my order and I also clearly stated I am more than happy to wait. She told me that she would personally ensure that I would get fresh fish fingers and that to not worry. I asked her her name and she told me she was Bernie.
After awhile the orders were ready and she gave them to me and I went to the car and decided to check the fish fingers as it seemed like something was not right.
And to my surprise the fish fingers were not only rock hard they weren’t even like warm. I returned back to the store and Bernie did not seem as happy and as cheerful as before. I guess she has assumed I’d trusted her and that I’d be upset when I got home.
I didn’t yell, I didn’t cause a scene she went and told the manager. A largish young lady with dark rinmed glasses who just looked at me casually and didn’t even bother to come and talk to me. I simply was served the fish fingers after the allotted time and this time although fresh, it seems the met were taken out before their time as they had no actual color on them.
Am I being picky? Am I wrong?
It’s not as if when McDonald’s tells you that you owe them £9,24 that we can pay them £8 and they’d be happy. Whatever they ask for we pay, so why is it so difficult for the staff to simply get the order right.
Bernie asked me if the £11 she was making is worth people yelling at her. I said no one should be yelling no matter what the reason.
Anyway needless to say this store like a few others sure needs customer service training. But hey for me, I will avoid it like I avoid a few others.
Wherever McDonalds stores fails, the local KFC pickup the business. And they have so far always been...

One is always apologising for the slowness of staff that we have to wait on and the other fixing their foul ups, and all this because they have taken on too many home deliveries that visiting customers now have to wait, and when we had to order in the order was incomplete so had to drive down to collect it. I'll update it to two stars for those two members of staff. Update: 250721. So along with my other review which I gave 2* this update is to say that they forgot part of my order. A simple order, and they forgot it! On top of that they'd ran out of small soft drink cups, so used medium size cups filled with ice. Original post: The lad serving was more interested in talking to old class buddy was was standing behind the couple he was already serving, kept darting off for no apparent reason, doing a little skid round the corner as he returned. Still had a girl in front of me, two behind me, was waiting in the queue for 12mins, and he couldn't get my order correct even after repeating it three times. He wasn't a trainee. Very unfortunate visit... Will use my normal branch...
