The Big Breakfast Bar — Restaurant in Portsmouth

Popped in as we were passing with the kids after a football game. We were all looking for something nice to eat but couldn’t decide on the same foods so went into The Big Breakfast Bar. It’s not a huge cafe but it was welcoming and the atmosphere was nice and relaxing. We had a large Breakfast, The Fawcett Bagel and the kids had a small breakfast and scrambled egg on toast (not on the menu).

Everything was cooked to perfection and tasted delicious. All plates were cleared (with two fussy kids this is normally not the case).

The person serving was friendly and happy to help with swaps on some of the foods and making up the scrambled egg on toast for our youngest.

Would definitely recommend if you’re looking for a nice tasty...

I really enjoyed it - my new favourite breakfast place in Portsmouth!

We were greeted with a lovely man smiling at us, he was incredibly attentive and friendly!

The food was very nice, I got a standard breakfast and my partner got a large, both with no mushrooms - the sausages were my favourite part, they were fresh and lovely! The atmosphere was amazing and I really liked the quirky images all over the walls. At one point there was a queue to get in which proves how great this place is.

Just a couple of things that were not a real issue is that our toast was a little bit burnt and the black pudding was a little underdone, more on the mushy end but overall, a very cute lovely place to have breakfast with a...

I went here very recently and had the big breakfast, I was greeted with a smile and warmly and sat down and ordered. I recieved a lovely coffee with my breakfast. Whe my breakfast arrived it looked outstanding with great representation and the ingredients on the plate were cooked perfectly and delicious. I would say 4.5 stars really, as in my opinion the bacon slices are super thin. Aside from that it is possible the best breakfast inhave had in Portsmouth in a long time.
