Lane Ends — Restaurant in Preston

Went here yesterday with my son for the first time in awhile, and I've got to say I had a great experience yet again! The food was great - I had steak and ale pie which was superb👌 my son had fish and chips which he really enjoyed also. We didn't order pudding, as too full up! If I had to change one thing, it would be that there was a little more variety for puddings options but that's it! I give it a full 5 stars all round 🌟 Theres a lovely chilled atmosphere too and a nice seating area outside for smokers etc. There's on site parking too and despite it being small, it fits a good few cars on so that's handy. I have been going in the lane ends for over 30 years and I have seen good times and bad but this has to be the worst ive ever seen it the door on Blackpool Rd is literally falling to to bits the gents toilets have not been cleaned properly for a long time shortage of staff means empty glasses everywhere how can you expect a manager to run a busy pub with not enough staff look at your reviews with people waiting to long for food etc it's just not good enough and j feel so sorry for becky who i know personally and does not the backing she deserves it's such a shame Greenking have allowed it to get so bad I have not commented on the food because I never get any pls try to get it back to the...

Extremely friendly staff would visit again 🙂 Edited to add (was all one visit) absolutely marvelous staff, all very helpful and accomodating, which is such a rare find. I only wanted one pint to sit outside, but the staff there are all so nice I think it's my new favourite pub. Thank you so much to Tyler, Jack, Carl and Chloe for being, quite frankly, the nicest people I've had conversations with recently. (I've not been in for about a decade, so nice to know it's currently an extremely welcoming pub.
