A beautiful breakfast / brunch / lunch cafe situated in Preston & York. Rise operates on a walk-in basis only and does not accept reservations. We visited the Preston location at 1pm and got a table immediately downstairs. The upstairs area has an open kitchen and lots of natural light so it is great for taking pictures.

What we ordered: Eggs Royale with a side of Avocado Turkish Eggs Almond and Cherry French Toast ( although it's now changed to strawberries and cream) Side of Halloumi and mushrooms Homemade Lemonade Fresh OJ Peppermint tea

The food came out fresh and presented beautifully. The French toast had caramelized white chocolate and overall tasted like Bakewell. The brioche was nicely soaked. A really nice dish.

The Turkish Eggs were different they had sweet potato in. Both set of egg dishes didn't have runny eggs which I was a little disappointed about but the food was still tasty.

They don't serve any halal food but have lots of veggie / vegan options and we were told everything is cooked separately so no cross contamination. Really polite and friendly staff.

The reusable straws they give you for drinks are cute, they have lovely little messages on them.

Time: Monday to Friday 8am – 5pm

Saturday & Sunday 9am – 5pm

Food is served till 4pm daily.

Location: 15 Miller...

Visited here and got a table by luck as there is always a queue outside. And I mean we have looked at going in here for the past year but it’s always super busy. We got a table inside by the window. It was busy and it is over crowded with a narrow space in between tables , there is more seating downstairs but to me looked ike for a larger group and upstairs is just two seated tables. On arrival we were asked which drinks we would like but the girl forgot she had asked us and then said to order through the app , but subsequently ended up bringing them anyway after about 20 mins , but it was busy. I had the breakfast pictured. I did not like how much avocado was pasted onto the bread, it needs to be much more toasted if doing so and it would be better to have the option to have the avocado on the side. I didn’t enjoy the bread because of this as it had gone soggy. Which was disappointing as love a good sour dough toast. The egg was cooked well. The halloumi was also nice. There was no seasoning either , so made use of the sat and pepper on the table. There is an option to order food at the counter aswell as the app. I would possibly try again in the future but pick something else...

Busy and popular brunch restaurant. Clientele of all ages but the student population especially evident. Visited Sunday lunchtime; queued outside to get a table. The menu has plenty of egg dishes and a good variety of vegetarian options. Ordering is at the counter or by the ubiquitous mobile-from-table method. Expect to spend £12 to £22 per person. Coffee not bad, a little acidic. Poached egg dishes good. "Grilled cheese" (i.e. cheese on toast) was tasty with kimchi and chilli oil included, but quite greasy even on the outside of the toast. Knife & fork job rather than finger food. And the paper liner on the plate soon became soggy with grease so that it was difficult to cut the toast without also getting forkfuls of the plate liner. Service, at least when we visited, was exuberant, almost in a forced way, but nevertheless friendly. Side order potatoes and mushrooms+greens both very good, if perhaps a little oily. Despite the tiny criticisms - we are often around Preston on a Sunday lunchtime and will probably come again. Parking: spaces outside are disabled badge only. You can get pretty close at the top of Syke Street Car Park (adjacent to Main Spirit...

Rise it a lovely little brunch place on the entrance of miller arcade. They have a good variety of breakfast and lunch options and when I went I tried the poached eggs with salmon and mushrooms. The food itself was quite good, however the eggs left a vinegar taste in the mouth sometimes maybe due to how it was poached. The experience for me also wasn't the best partly due to the wait time of 1 hour 20 mins from lining up to go in, to our food being served, which we waited 50 mins to get once in. Obviously it cannot be helped if they are busy but perhaps employing more staff and equipment would be more appropriate. Also I was seated on a stool next to the kitchen so it was uncomfortable to sit on and quite noisy. I might go again at a quieter time as I dont think I got the best experience. The price is slightly pricey which you'd expect from a brunch place. Id recommend to go to this place for a brunch but avoid lunch time as you will be waiting for hours. Preferably before 12 and after 3.
