Stratos — Restaurant in Preston

Lovely venue and to be fair the food was great and first 2 courses arrived promptly. Bad thing is the staff, ignorant is an understatement we sat for 45 min after our mains ignored because the staff wanted to wait untill the kitchen closed so we couldnt order desserts because they wanted to hide the tables and chairs to make a dancefloor. When they came after the kitchen closed i had to insist on desert which the grudgingly provided and i ordered sime drinks too. Dessert came and we again sat for over an hour no drink no staff nothing i had to go to the bar and order drinks in the meantime. 4 hours after arriving and being ignored for 2 of it waiting for staff we just left. If you want ignorant service in a nice setting pop along you will wait for hours but they are that rubbish you...

Won’t be going back to Stratos. We had a table booked for half 7, we arrived on time and waited to be seated at the entrance, two waitresses then walked around us and didn’t acknowledge. After a few mins we asked at the bar and ordered a drink, he told us that we would need to go and see one of the waiting on staff who where now stood chatting at the bar. In total there was 8 members off staff behind the bar. The floor and bar was sticky and a mess which is shocking this early in the night with so many staff in a quiet bar. When ordering the cocktails our bartender asked his colleague what a Bramble was in front of us. Food was good, but portions are shockingly small for tapas. (Two small balls cost £5, small for two tiny spring rolls). If you're going for tapas, I suggest wings, ribs and possibly nachos as they have decent portions and taste amazing. It's very loud, even when no one is around. So waiters probably had trouble hearing us, which explains the mistakes made in the order. I could not see any obvious wheelchair accessible entrance method, but they have a disabled toilet.
