Good music. Quite a few options in drinks. Multiple TV screens. Must visit if one has time to kill or if your train is cancelled.
Situated bang opposite Preston railway station and aptly called The Station, this place seems like a different world compared to the quiet street outside. Map of Preston to your left, welcoming interiors and loud music greets you as soon as you enter. Numerous screens all over the pub, this should be a good place to catch your game.
The audio can be a bit distorted when the song reaches the bridge and my beer was a tad flat, all minor issues considering the overall big picture. They serve pizza, have a pool table, a secret garden and enough distractions to keep one occupied. Do not miss your train. The railway station is less than a minute...
Read moreSo much better since Gill isn't the manager anymore the place feels fresh and inviting (I don't feel like I am going to be part of a police drug raid when I drink there). Staff member is very polite one small issue is that they need to change the handles from strongbow to plain ones because I thought it was strongbow dark fruits I didn't see the front badge the cider they serve didn't taste nice and I had to pay for a bottle of mount cider, because I was told the cider from the pump was fine.
But the revamp looks amazing it feels...
Read moreThursday 2nd May 2024 Today, I gave this real ale pub next to Preston Railway station a go There was 1 real ale on the Theakstones Quencher pale ale it was grand. The barman in my picture was really good and pulled a good pint. The pub is an old type, spacious interior place. The music was a certain type of clubland music on my visit This pub is a genuine locals pub If there had been 2 hand pumped ales on when I visited this place, I would have given the full 5 stars...
