I had an hour to pass before my Bolton train arrived, I looked through the window of this pub on the platform... I did actually fancy a beer.. I am a lady alone, so not sure whether I should be walking into a pub at 1pm in the afternoon..! However, it looked pleasantly warm and inviting so I went in. I was served by Patrick, such a lovely pleasant young man. I sat at a quiet corner seat near the window to people watch and drink my beer. I was drawn to Patrick as I listened to him serving other customers. Well, a beer house that has its only beer fridge filled with cans of Carling, Strongbow and Carlsberg, which tells you something! Couldn't even see a Brewdog beer in there, ordered a Heineken and was charged £6.05!!! Shocking and would have left a 1* but for location and it was clean and I found a place to charge my phone! I went in not knowing whether I would like a made or a Heineken, the lady behind the bar gave a detailed description of the 2 beers and then gave me the history of both beers, to top this off she then read my fortune and connected with the spirits to send a message from my dead dog.
