Amazinggggg service from the staff at upper crust Preston train station shop at platform 3.
Honestly was badly needing coffee and had a connection from Preston, only for my train getting me to Preston with a delayed time leaving me short of time to get next teain! However with connecting train having 4 mins delay and being on same platform I risked getting a coffee in time before my connecting train arrives and was to depart. When waiting for the coffee after paying, I realized that my train had arrived, I told the upper crust girls it's fine just keep the coffee one of you have it on me as I need to go can't miss my train and left. As I got onto the train, the staff (I think she was maybe manager on this day possibly, Esther ? With all due respect of possible Chinese/Thai Asian background, I wish I knew her name as she deserves a huge credit of praise hence giving a description) she actually appeared outside the train door I had just entered through, running after me with my coffee and politely said miss ur coffee! â honestly she melted my heart with her kindness and effort to get me my coffee even though I said thank you and couldn't wait for the coffee as my train had come in. As she handed the coffee the train doors closed so could even ask her name or say thank you properly.
She didn't have to do this as they were serving as quick as they could but a coffee machine does take a few moments to have the coffee prepared, just my luck though that the train arrived and it was either wait for coffee miss the train OR leave the coffee n get the train. ...I took 2nd option however upper crust staff just made my day...made me smile and happy too.
I'd give the lady a huge hug for such efforts and especially as I needed the coffee bad .... Might seem like Small efforts but amazing in my books especially nowadays, also nice to see kindness is still out there! . I will definitely go again to upper crust and hope to see her there too and thank her if I can when travelling again ....THANK YOU SO MUCH! Absolute a CREDIT TO THE COMPANY! Just realized I was handed a review ticket with Esther madeep.name on it. It was Esther who made such lovely effort .thank...
Read moreCame in today to grab a sandwich before a connecting train. I had a reusable cup from a well known coffee chain but was asked to leave before I could even make a purchase, as, in the words of the female member of staff who approached me, they were " her competitor" and she couldn't allow me to sit in with it. I was confused and extremely embarrassed, and left, but noted that other people were sitting in the vicinity with cups from other chains located in the station. This was a bizarre and completely unnecessary interaction from the member of staff, who didn't even give me chance to explain or make me feel comfortable enough to continue a purchase. This did not feel like an issue with policy, of which I would have understood, but felt targeted because of a certain brand and then humiliated in a busy environment. I have often purchased from this place in the past, but will now no longer be a...
Read moreThere were flies all over the sandwiches and pastries! I pointed this out to a staff member and she just shrugged her shoulders as we both watched the fly crawl all over the food. A customer after me purchased a sandwich we'd seen a fly all over and she didnt say anything, I pointed at the fly on the food to the customer too and they didn't purchase food. I understand you can't completely elimate flies from the cafes but surely you can invest in a fully closed food storage if you are going to have them on show? Don't eat here, the staff don't care about food safety and hygiene..can't blame the staff they're just minimum wage workers but even the company doesn't listen. Over priced coffee, you're definitely paying train station premium Reply to buisness: staff don't need training, you need to invest in containers that are not open? Where did I say this was a staff issue?? This is a shop...
