I had an incredible dining experience at this Indian restaurant offering authentic Hyderabadi Dum Biryani. Having tried various places in Reading, I was thrilled to finally find a spot that serves this traditional delight. The Hyderabadi Dum Biryani was an absolute masterpiece, offering a perfect balance of flavors and fragrant spices that took me straight to the streets of Hyderabad.
What truly sets this restaurant apart is their dedication to customer satisfaction. The attentive and caring service provided by the staff made me feel valued as a customer. They offer both spicy and mild options to cater to your preference.
Not only is the food outstanding, but the prices are also very reasonable, making it a fantastic value for the quality and quantity you receive. If you're seeking an unforgettable Biryani experience served with warmth and dedication in Reading, this restaurant is an absolute must visit. I can’t resist not to cross their doors every Friday after praying Jummah in nearby mosque :)
Update 30/9/23: My last visit yesterday and so delighted to see that they’ve maintain the right taste they’re famous for. Tried lamb dum biryani this time and it was as yummy as their chicken dum Biryani. Well done...
Read moreToday afternoon, we had the opportunity to be the first to try the new Andhra Meals at Deccan house, and we are happy to report that we are still alive and kicking! The meal offered a delightful mix of flavours and textures, creating a memorable dining experience.
The Andhra Meals plate came with an impressive variety of items: a hot (crispy small Vada), a sweet (delectable Payasam), rich Chicken and Mutton curries, flavourful Prawn fry, tangy Rasam, and refreshing curd.
The star items for us were undoubtedly the Mutton curry and the Prawn fry. The Mutton was tender and bursting with spices, while the Prawn fry had the perfect crunch and a delightful seasoning that left us wanting more. The Chicken curry, while tasty, could have benefited from a bit more spice—though this might just be my personal preference for a hotter kick.
One notable missing item from the meal was Pappu (Daal). Whether you're indulging in a non-veg or veg meal. Including Pappu would certainly elevate the authenticity and completeness of the Andhra Meals.
A special mention goes to Sakshi, who looked after us throughout our visit. Her attentive and friendly service made our dining experience even...

Pls be careful about this place , don’t expect Veg Biryani after 7 PM . So if you want Veg Biryani after 7 PM make sure to check availability by 6PM , that is quite a disappointment for a restaurant who got Veg biryani on their menu till 9 PM .I’m taking down my 5 rating to 1 .
June - Well , being a foodie and Hyderabadi, I know what I need when it comes to Biryani and it should be proper DUM not some veg curry & rice so called Biryani. I was literally fed up to find a proper Hyderabadi DUM biryani for almost an year now in Reading . I may have missed some places but nope I couldn’t find it . I was very skeptical on my first visit to this place not to get disappointed again in the name of DUM but surprisingly DUM biryani here is quite different from all other places I had so far and very close to Hyderabadi style and look at that price , £5.99 for Veg Biryani , I had 2 bowls on my day 1 :). Hope you guys maintain the quality the same and suggest to be rich with content in all other dishes as well ,because we want to try more than Biryani at your place for authentic Desi Hyderabadi taste ! Parking is painful but I think with some planning it can...
