Roosters Fried n Grill — Restaurant in Reading

The Sauces are more valuable than the Chicken, you ask for some extra sauce they want to charge for it, 50p to 70p for a tub of tiny sauce, for spending over £10 or £20, they aren't prepared to give a tub or two of sauce worth 2p... Its terrible customer service, and just greedy. Your Chicken is dry most of the time, and your never organized when its busy, 30 minute waiting times is not fast food....Its just not good enough... Chips change every week from thin to thick.. Where is the consistency? Work on it... Especially the sauce. If i spend £30, i expect more than 2 tubs of sauce for a meal for 8 people. If i buy 2 meals, i expect 2 tubs per meal.. Its an insult to charge over a pound for 2 tubs of tiny sauce.. I wont be coming back for a while...Your colleagues refused to give me 2 tubs of sauce, until i left the store and they started shouting at me and telling me to come back, in front of customers, for an expensive order. I will be complaining about this further with head office as i mention to the man at the premises. You need to change this policy else you will lose customers, over...

My first and last visit ever. Luckily I ordered 1/4 chicken and not half otherwise I'd go mad. Brought the 1/4 chicken meal which came with fries and a drink. Flavour was lemon & herb and medium (I always go half n half). When my order was ready, the chicken was looking waaay to yellow for my liking. The marinade was not even thick or saucy, it was proper runny and bright yellow. Too much turmeric! The chicken was tasteless and lacked flavour both on the outside and inside. Fries are just standard, no flavour to them. Drink was an original so no complaints here. Was sat by the door as the shop was busy, I froze my nuts off because the door wouldn't close properly. Won't ever go there again! I won't comment on the rest of the menu as I've not tried it so it's only fair to...

I am a regular eater here at rooster, more then likely the food is great and so is the service however today I was utterly disappointed to a state that I shall never return to this disgraceful place. Closing early and causing errors within Deliveroo was a somewhat problem, however it was the communication and horrible telephone manners that made me feel insignificant and useless. I was told my order ‘didn’t matter’ and followed with a sharp hang up on the phone. Deliveroo attempted to make contact with roosters and failed, but were friendly in returning my refund. It’s just so disappointing to see wasted talent, specially a local business with great potential...maybe learn manners? They go far. I will be telling all my friends And family to boycott this...
