On my very first visit two of us got into an argument with the person at the counter. In the first instance, I am not exactly sure who was at fault even though the whole incident happened in my presence as there were a lot of references to some past experiences, anyway the issue I want to highlight is the way the Mr. Cod representative was speaking to the customer, they had no clue that they are in an industry where customer service is paramount. He did not even attempt to suppress his anger or talk politely.
As for my personal experience, I had ordered for a "masala fish and chips meal" for 6 pounds, when I got the order the fish was slightly burnt, but I did not mind that so I did not even raise the issue. But the ketchup that was served with the fries, was not at all proportionate to the quantity of the fries, I just thought that they want to avoid wastage, hence the small portions, when I requested him for the second time, he hesitantly gave it to me with a frown on his face. I purposely went for the third time as I still had a lot of fries remaining, to which he said that I have to pay extra, thats when I asked him as to why did he not tell me this in the beginning, to which he replied that this is company policy. When I asked him how does he measure the amount of ketchup he was pouring per squeeze, he replied that he just knows. That may be the company policy, I have nothing against that, but the way he put it across and his tone of voice was just not something that u expect to hear when you have paid for your meal. Instead the other person feels that he is doing you a favour. I will never go there again and would not recommend it either.

Read moreI went to Mr Cod this evening and i am totally disappointed, I found the shop online drove there missed the turning went around the one way system to go back. when I finally arrived i was served promptly as there were no other customers in the shop. I did intend to order Fish and chips however i didn't like the look of the fish they had on display, so just went for chips instead. I was asked if i wanted salt and Vinegar and i said yes please, he sprayed my food with the smallest amount of vinegar and i asked if i could have more at which point he gave me a funny look sprayed the chips until they were drenched. I promptly left with no thank you or any level of customer appreciation i walked back to my car where i found the chips weren't even cooked i very quickly took them back and explained what was wrong this caused such an issue i had to ask for my money back and promptly left. i don't mind the chips not being cooked if they were to rectify the mistake but the fact that there was no level of customer service or even a smile as i walked through the door or even an apology is...
Read moreAbsolutly dissapointed! Ordered food for my family. The last 2 times I was given good food but the 3rd time I was Ordring to pick up from the store at lunch time. The chicken tasted like it was cooked from the previous night and the chips were precooked a lot of times and actually taste like paper. Instead of wasting the food I tried to give it to my neighbours cats as they like this sort of food. As they smelled the food they eventually ran away. This Mr cod need to sort theirself out!!
