Firstly Anna the manageress is brilliant and can often be found working on her off days. Sadly the staff turnover in Cafe Nero Reigate is horrendous. I've been a daily visitor here since it opened and ive probably seen 200+ different staff - I'm not kidding) 'Phillip' the area manager needs to address this issue because clearly there is a problem retaining staff. A misery 20 min break half way through a nine or ten hour shift in my opinion certainly needs to be looked at as a matter of urgency. Now onto the most important thing which is the"coffee" well, my daily Americano with just a splash of milk for a very reasonable £2.45p is to die for! It's soooh much better than the equivalent from the nearby Costa Coffee(I have tried theirs and it's pretty dire!) oh and Nero's offering is 30p cheaper as well so big up to the Nero buyers whoever they may be! Cleanliness of the store gets an 8/10 from yours truly but with only two baristas often on duty clearing tables, sweeping the floor, restocking the sandwiches and paninis etc sometimes and understandably gets missed. Overall Cafe Nero Reigate gets top marks...
Read moreIncredibly rude staff. I was walking along the high street of Reigate just earlier today to see a man raising his voice, shouting and giving major attitude towards two teenage girls outside on the high street, because they were in Starbucks uniforms and handing out free samplers to people all along up and down the high street, they just so happened to be passing Café Nero (they would've also been in close proximity to Gail's, Costa and multiple independent coffee/café chains with no issues from them!) Shouting at them about how it is so disrespectful to be in Starbucks uniform within proximity to a competitor chain. Get a grip lad, they were both at least 15-20 years younger than you!
Absolutely pathetic and unacceptable behaviour!
I have already contacted and passed this on to Café Nero Customer services and made a formal complaint against...
Read moreI regularly attend this Cafe Nero and all I can say is the staff are absolutely wonderful. They are friendly and very kind when taking people’s orders and helpful. However, the man ( who I assume is the manager, has a beard and bald) has repeatedly on several occasions been nothing but rude. I have taken a notice that it is a reoccurring problem as he has constantly rushed me to order, refused for me to sit upstairs whilst there was other people sat there too and is utterly rude in his interactions with me. I have spoken to my friends about this issue and it seemed to be a common issue among my friends if colour and not my white friends. Although I would like to say the rest of the staff are lovely and make me feel very welcome and...
