Really disappointing! I have been going to La Mancha for years but this was my first time since the new owners took over and I doubt very much I'll go back. It's a place I've always recommended but that's not the case anymore. We went on a Saturday afternoon and there was about 3 other tables in so it was very quiet. We ordered around 3 dishes each not including bread/garlic bread The menu appeared to have many of the same dishes on with some added new ones and sadly some of my favourites had been removed. When the food arrived we started to tuck in and all said how cold or luke warm it was. The manager came over apologised and took the dishes away. As we had started eating when we realised it was cold some of the dishes had half of the food taken as it was on our plates. When the dishes returned they hadn't been replaced but just warmed up...even the 3 prawns 😳 so we had cold food left on our plates and just half the food that had been reheated returned. The garlic bread with cheese was like a cheap supermarket bought baguette and thr potato dishes just tasted greasy and left a film around my lips. The manager brought us a complimentary jug of cava sangria and sat to chat with us to get some feedback. He said we had ordered too many dishes and didn't understand tapas. I had been going to La Mancha for years and did exactly what I had done in the past when ordering plus I had lived in Spain for 10 years and have had plenty of tapas and to top it all of my sister has a pub hosting monthly tapas nights so we are well aware of how tapas works!!! When they came to clear the table 1 dish hadn't been touched at all and only the beef cheeks, which were delicious just a shame they were cold, the halloumi fries and bread and butter were dishes we finished all the rest still had food in as we didn't want to eat reheated chicken or prawns and the potatoes were just flavourless and greasy. I have never been to La Mancha and there has been food left when the table has been cleared, this time we left hungry! Anyway when it came to the bill we had been charged for all the dishes even after having a good 15 minute chat with the manager about the dishes and why we wouldn't be eating reheated food. We questioned this and the manager responded by saying he'd given us the cava sangria we said we didn't ask for it and he had given it to us to apologise because we was so disappointed. He then said he could knock 30% off the bill but would have to charge for the cava?!?!?! I said I would like the dishes we didn't eat or couldn't eat because I'm sure reheated prawns can be dangerous to be taken off the bill but after a lengthy going round in circles conversation we just paid. He asked us to give him a few months to make some changes so we could return and see if it had improved however £120 isn't something I'd like to pay just to see if it's got any better. Around disappointing Poor customer service and very disappointing food. I don't understand why the new owners changed something that had worked for years ...the food had always been amazing,...

Went to La Mancha tonight for our 10 year anniversary and I was expecting good things, sadly we left very disappointed, the food was terrible and sadly the service even worse, we were sat in a corner and basically just left all night, there was interest from the servers at all other than bringing us our drinks at the beginning of the night and our food, they didn’t come over once after that, when the food came all I can say is just wow!! We ordered garlic bread that looked like it was the £1 frozen baguettes from Lidl that had been thrown against the wall a few times and then put on plate, the beef strips were basically just beef strips in tasteless gravy, no flavour what so ever, I ordered some kind of chicken in garlic but it was the weirdest taste, I couldn’t understand what it was trying to be, the onion rings were actually good but really greasy, the potato’s bravas hadn’t seen a tomato in its life, but the halloumi was actually nice, my fiance approached the manager to pay the bill as no one came to us so we could pay, the manager kicked off at the waitress asking why she didn’t take the card reader over but she snapped back saying she’s not had time as she’s busy, my fiance told him he wasn’t happy and was disappointed but he got attitude back and turned away, terrible food and terrible service, he wouldn’t return even if we were offered a free meal, totally ruined our anniversary so...

La Mancha, last time i ate there, was a delightful experience but after the recent ownership and chef switch, i am devastated with the apparent lack of love and care put into the food. The food has changed vastly and specifically the garlic potatoes, the garlic bread and sun dried tomato bread tasted overall... cheap. Most of the food we ordered also tasted like it was bathed in a bucket of oil for hours. Secondly, the staff was absolutely miserable. The waiters barely knew what they were doing and stood around looking like deers in headlights. An example of their idiocy, is when we asked to be given a takeaway box for the food (even though the food wasn't any good, it was just incase we got peckish later on) the waiter proceeded to throw away the food we requested to take home. To be fair the redesign of the establishment was nice but that doesn't redeem the genuine horrid experience we had. Lastly, we was given the wrong check and had to pay an extra £29 pound. On return to the establishment, to receive our real check and our money back, we were given no compensation for the inconvenience which is appalling. We are highly likely to not be returning due to the absolute shit show of a visit it was. We will now instead, be going to the Rake in Littleborough, as it has many...

I was in the area with a friend and we were looking for a place to get for a quick lunch. We found La Mancha and, initially, we were the only ones in there, but decided to give it a try anyway. Once inside, you'll be welcomed by a quaint atmosphere, with a colorful and eye-catching décor. It does remind me of my own Latin roots. From the table we were seating, everything felt like a authentic Spanish location. Even the street outside gets feels like completely different place, than the busy city beyond the buildings that surround it. There was Spanish music playing in the background which was at the ideal volume, loud enough to cover any background or street noise but quiet enough that it doesn't distract or covers your own conversation. Anyway, we have ordered a couple of dishes each and I must say, we weren't disappointed. Everything was fresh and tasty and completely on par with the look and feel of the restaurant. Prices were quite good and we were satisfied with the overall experience. On the downside, this restaurant might be a bit tricky to find as it's on a narrow side street, but it's definitely worth it and I highly recommend it.

Visited here Friday for the first time we had a table of 8 and all ordered between 4-5 dishes each and all the food came out at the same time all of it was hot and absolutely delicious! Those garlic potatoes oh my god! It’s a very cozy place but you don’t feel rushed the staff were lovely and attentive! Drinks are a bar service which is better if you are splitting a bill then it’s only food to do that with! Parking isn’t amazing not the fault of the restaurant I think that is just the town centre itself! I will definitely be coming back!

Authentic Spanish food. Love coming here. Food never disappoints and super fast service. Tonight we ordered Patas Bravas Garlic Potatoes - Oh my goodness I died and went to food heaven with these. Chicken garlic and white wine sauce Meatballs Garlic cheese bread Garlic king prawn Battered Hake And of course a large glass of sangria The atmosphere was lively and we dined early at 6:30pm A fab place to dine, celebrate, or simply indulge. 5 stars
