Sushi & Bento House- Rayleigh — Restaurant in Rochford

Response to the owner : I came to your restaurant on Saturday, A young lady served me around 1PM. The only thing fake here is you trying to make sushi when clearly you don't have a clue about what real sushi taste. Sorry if I gave the wrong name for the menu, I ordered the party set. I put some pictures so you can clearly see those are from your shop. I will not recommend your restaurant and will not come back. You should have read my review, because I don't rate the sushi in the waitrose counter.

I was looking foward to try this restaurant . From outside this place look great and the receptionist was very friendly. You don't have much space to seat so I decided to order to take away. I went for a family box, so I can try all the differents sushi and maki. First of all what shock me the most is the incositence in the different roll, some have a big piece of tuna and other nothing in, same with the avocado roll and others..... The tuna and the solmon were not very good, the slomon was tough. The presentation was not good at all. Even in waitrose the Japanese counter offer better sushi . Very disappointed, the family box at waitrose definitely have better variety, and I'm not saying waitrose sushi is good but definitely better...

A slightly clumsy attempt at japanese food. Teriyaki beef bao - beef could have been softer. Yakisoba - soba was overcooked. Kapa maki was fine. Gohan was somewhat dry. Ebi was fine. Tori katsu curry - chicken good but curry was salty and needed more depth. It tasted like standard curry block in water. And for some reason the takeaway came with what tasted like sweet chilli mayo??, which is about as japanese as pizza. The best part was the Inari zushi.

I ordered tonight on Just Eat. The delivery took over an hour or so which would of been find if the food was worth it but the food wasn't up to scratch and I feel like I have just wasted £28. All food came with stale sad looking salad which was just unappetizing. The Octopus balls, crab tempura and Bao buns were cold and did not taste nice due to the temperature. To top it off the octopus balls are really repeating on me and my tummy feels dodgey. The avocado and salmon roll was okay but I have had better and the strawberry mochi balls were nice but overall I will not order again. Such a shame as I was really looking forward to this but it was not...
