Poppin's Cafe - Bexhill — Restaurant in Rother

A large & busy cafe/restaurant, part of a small chain of separately owned franchises (there are appx 30 or so in towns around the country).

Food is pretty good, wide choice on a big menu, would probably consider this mainly a breakfast type of place although that being said, I chose the steak which was good enough and came with generous portions of fries, grilled tomatoes, mushrooms and peas. The actual steak was good enough but this is not a steakhouse, so not premium or whatever but that's not to be expected at the price point of around £20. I think they keep their meat frozen, and the size and leanness varies a bit. I've been there a few times now.

All in all a thoroughly decent place, friendly staff, gets busy during late morning and lunchtime. Nice and clean. I would recommend this Poppins on Devonshire road Bexhill, I've also been to the one in Tunbridge Wells but Poppins is a franchise with each place having...

Went in there, found a table and sat down. Waited, and waited, and waited, got someone's attention but on there way over to us turned around and went on his phone. Waited again. Someone else pointed to another staff member to come take are order. Yet again there phone is more important or waiting for the food that's still on the grill to be cooked before taking are order so we waited again, and hour goes by and still there phones or watching food cook is more important then taking a customers order so obviously they don't need the money off people as they seem to get there's from...
