The Chilli Tree — Restaurant in Rother

After hearing only amazing things about Chilli Tree we finally placed an order for a takeaway ordering some of our favourites and a few new dishes for us. After placing our order on a Monday evening and waiting over an hour, our meal finally arrived. Unfortunately, everything went downhill from here. It’s hard to explain how a meal can be so truly terrible but every single bite was just awful. The mixed kebab starter had meat so chewy it was more like a dog toy than meat, if you ever want to turn vegetarian please order this dish…. It’ll turn you away forever. The lamb garlic curry was brimming with oil but stunningly had almost no flavour and contained meat to chewy that to even attempt to swallow would be a chocking hazard. Everything from the undercooked bread, poor quality meat, under-seasoned an tasteless potatoes basically ended up being so utterly revolting that the meal was, for the first time ever, just a total write-off. I''m disabled and this Restaurant must win the reward for the best service to me,and my family & friends., First of all I must say,I am fed through a tube into my stomach . I am therefore,I am Nil by mouth.why go to a restaurant you,say. Bear with me. First, there ia always a warm welcome. Remember i'm in a wheelchair,withe ventilators etc. Sala,iimedeately organieed a place we could sit without being in the way. I told him about,my problem and told him my problem.,But I could drop a. Swab in sauce. Sala said , leave. It to me I,will create especialy for me. He treated,all my party,as special. Whenever he spoke to me, he did that, he didnt,address my wife or carer. He spoke to ME.He created a vegan vegtable Jalfrais .a spicy hot one. It was lovely. The point is, when you are disabled, to be treated normally,means so much. I felt like a normal punter.Well done Sala and the team. I thoroughly recommend The Chili Tree in Bexhill. Superb food, friendly welcome...

Absolutely fantastic food and so much choice. Much better than other Indian restaurants we have been to. The owner greets you and is very friendly. Had some poppadoms free of charge and dips which was delicious. Starter's and mains delicious and such a good price. Went here for our daughter's birthday who is Autistic 🎂😘 We went on a Thursday and it wasn't busy at all there was us and another table. Owner was absolutely lovely and got our daughter a bunch of flowers for her birthday as she doesn't like Cake.🎂 The Owner is so thoughtful and makes you feel welcomed. We love this place food and company is fantastic and would highly recommend this restaurant to our friends as we have no family in the area.

We will be going back in the near future or ordering Takeout. Fantastic all round at a great price and you can take your own booze and not be charged for...
