Starbucks Coffee — Restaurant in Rugby

We had such a wonderful experience at the Starbucks in Elliott’s Field! We brought our 11-year-old daughter and a few of her friends to celebrate her birthday, and the staff truly went above and beyond to make it special.

The manager and supervisor couldn’t have been more helpful. They kindly let us drop off the cake earlier in the day and then brought it out beautifully once we arrived, which made everything feel so effortless and stress-free for us. To top it off, my daughter was surprised with a complimentary cake pop, which absolutely made her day! We were also given a 10% discount, which was such a thoughtful gesture.

The atmosphere was warm and welcoming, and the kindness shown by the team turned a simple coffee shop visit into a really memorable celebration. It’s not often you find staff who genuinely care about making your experience special, and the Elliott’s Field Starbucks team certainly did.

Appalling experience at Starbucks. Visited mid-day on a Sunday, and the staff really seemed to struggle with making any of the orders, to a point we were left waiting a staggering 25 minutes after paying, for one pumpkin spiced Frappuccino. Despite taking your name when you pay and writing it on the cup or applying an order sticker to the cup with your name, they insist in reading out the order - and not the name, which made it more confusing as most people seemed to have ordered some king of pumpkin spiced drink. Even when they did read out names (though rare) they’d call ‘Erin’ but the cup clearly had ‘Clara’ written on it.

The whole thing was totally unorganised, inefficient, and incredibly infuriating. We have visited previously - it’s always a long time to wait for an order, despite a number of staff being behind the till. They seem to lack any process, or knowledge of how to make the drinks from the menu board.

Ordered the new pink drink on the app because I’ve seen loads of ads about ordering it through the app and I arrived and was greeted by an extremely rude man who snapped at me saying why am I standing waiting and when I explained I was waiting for a drink I ordered on the app he said “no we don’t make it” I said how I ordered on the app and that I paid for it and he just kept rudely telling me he wouldn’t make it. There was a friendly female staff who tried to help me and find a way to get me the drink, but he shouted at her and said “no we aren’t making her the drink!” I said how I had already paid for the drink and he just walked away from me and all the staff ignored me. He then came back and shoved change into my hand and told me to leave. He didn’t even ask me how much to refund me or even ask if I would like a replacement and the change he gave me was wrong. I ended up sitting in my car crying after he shouted at me because all I did was turn up to collect a drink I paid for and had gotten multiple emails about from Starbucks to order on the app! Would be 1 star but the girl that at least tried to be nice to me makes...
