With 30 mins to go before Costa closed on a Sunday afternoon, we were politely informed of this. The barista took our order and when I asked what was the make-up on one of the new drinks on the menu, he happily told me and when I asked if I get swap milk for oat milk, he explained where it was possible, but where it was not (coffee flavoured cream).
Our drinks were made pretty quickly so no long wait, despite others having been previously ordered. Our table was clean and we only saw one other with some old cups on.
More people came in, and they all had the same polite feedback about the closing time. We never were asked to drink up and only felt compelled to leave by ourselves looking at the time. Other customers continued to drink after we got up to leave with 5 mins before...
Read moreI mean what can I say? It's been a while since I've been to this Costa because of an unpleasant experience with former staff, but this café has had a huge turnaround!
The food and coffee were well made and the staff (Sean in this case, hi Sean) were very polite. They are enthusiastic for as long as you stay and this creates a warm, cosy atmosphere. It's of course also positioned well.
I guess the only thing is that it will usually be more expensive than the Café Nero across the road but if it's not a huge concern to...
