M&S Café — Restaurant in Rugby

What's the point of a cafe which hardly ever has filter coffee available because "the machine's bin cleaned". What!!!??? It's a laughable stock answer at every location. I'd love to know who it is who decides these Cafe's don't have to restock or can close hours before store closing. They essentially decide whether customers can or cannot have a coffee or a bite to eat. God forbid we might like to have a coffee or a piece of cake when we shop in the evening. If it's after 4.00pm you've had it - it's a dry bit of leftover sponge, a broken mince pie or nothing - but definitely 'No filter love, machine's bin cleaned'. If it's after 6pm chances are the whole thing is shut anyway. Get a grip M&S. Are you running these Cafe's for the convenience of customers and to make the M&S experience...

Never dined here before and probably won’t again. As soon as I came to the till the two staff behind ignored my presence, they were not busy. Once I got my order though the man made my drinks but was very miserable and rude about it all. The food was not great for the price you pay. Had the all day breakfast. Rosti’s were unbelievably soggy. A lot of the food was cold apart from beans and it just looks like sad little leftovers. The drinks were unbelievably sweet you could not taste the coffee only syrup, so we did not finish the drinks despite them being expensive. This cafe is a disgrace, it is not value for money. The place is filthy, the tables, the floors and the cutlery are not properly washed down or sanitised. Tables stacked high with the plates and cups cleared by customers. Everything feels grimy and sticky. My first choice from the menu was sold out so had soup as did my wife, the dishes were very short unequal measures. The reason given by the staff is the soup comes as 2 Portions and they split between 2 servings. For this very limp excuse I award 0 stars.
