Big John's Quinton — Restaurant in Sandwell

I ordered via there website which had some offers which looked good, but the offer I liked was not at the closest big John's but I thought if it was too far to be delivered I would just collect it and so I made my order expecting it to say it was too far for delivery but as it didn't I just assumed it would be made a delivered from the closest branch, 2 hours later I had a phone call from big John's customer service asking why I had made the order from that branch, I explained and told him the offer was only available from that branch and I just thought the order would be transferred to the nearest branch to me and as there website had let me order there would not be a problem, he then told me I was wrong and all the offers were available in all branches to this I said I'd be happy to come to his branch and show him to which he he just said I didn't need to show him as I was wrong, he then told me he would have to throw all the food I'd ordered away as it was too far to be delivered and he would have to transfer the order to a nearer branch, as it was only 6pm and the delivery was for 7:30pm it seems odd to be making a pizza 90 mins early and also why did he not check the address first?, he continued to moan at me and so I just put the phone down as after 13 hours work that was the last thing I wanted to listen to. At 7:50 (20 minutes late) my order turned up, I thanked the driver and brought the meal in, opened it only to find the chips, po and cake all missing, so I phoned big John's and the same so called customer service man answered and just made lite of it saying the rest of the order was probably in the drivers footwell of his car (not even giving a apologie), at 8:30 a different driver turned up with what had been missing in the first delivery and of course by then the chips were a waste of time as the pizza had been eaten and the pop was also too late to be enjoyed with the meal. I emailed big John's explaining all of this I did then get a apologie but that that was all, a good business would offer some form of gratuitie to try and put things right but not big john.

So if you want to be made out a lier, argued with, have late delivery with half missing then big John's will...

Subject: Complaint regarding poor service and hygiene at [Store Location] Dear big John Customer Service, I am writing to express my extreme disappointment with the service and hygiene I experienced at your [Store Location] Quinton branch. approximately [Time of Visit]. Upon entering the restaurant, I was immediately concerned by the overall lack of cleanliness. The dining area was not well-maintained. However, my main concern is the unacceptable behavior and hygiene of one of your staff members. The employee who was serving me was incredibly rude and seemed to have poor personal hygiene. My food was ready and placed on the counter, but he made no attempt to serve it to me. Despite another staff member politely prompting him to hand over my order, he appeared completely uninterested and ignored both of us. It was only when I finally asked for my food that he begrudgingly gave it to me, without any apology or explanation. His demeanor was disrespectful and made me feel very unwelcome. I am a loyal customer of big John , and this experience was far below the standard I have come to expect from your brand. The combination of rude customer service and poor hygiene is completely unacceptable. I trust you will take my feedback seriously and address these issues with the staff at this location. Used to offer great food. Now they have slipped significantly in quality. Great location for business but poor parking capabilities, hard to visit during rush hour as right on the corner of a set of Bristol road shops; and between a dealership, row of different shops and opposite a retail park nearby to a uni digs. Constantly busy and has loitering students or chavs outside who are not always buying. There’s also an off licence there so beware when buying go late night. Nearby to an adult probation that’s open 9am till 5pm. Prices are fair as is food range and they sometimes do promotional items and discounts. No toilets available for customers and no seats (covid restrictions - this may change as per covid restrictions do). Park down side road if you can. Some yellow lines so do avoid. Beware to queue at midday, school run 330pm ish times till around 5pm when older kids are still hanging around after school. A lot of Bristol road bus stops stop there so lot of bus and foot traffic. Will need to use lights to cross main Bristol...
