Dixy Chicken — Restaurant in Sandwell

Having sampled quite a few different Dixy's around town; i wouldn't say i am a connoisseur but i know a good burger from a bad one! I have just moved down the road and this was my first visit here. I rang up and placed my order for collection and was informed it would be ready in 20 minutes. I did tell them this was my first visit here and that i am a little fussy but a guy called Sabir told me that i would not be disappointed.

Having turned up to collect the order, the guys were very busy preparing various orders. I didn't have to wait around too long but had no complaints as the food was fresh!! I ordered a combo bucket with 6 pieces of chicken, wings, 4 fillet burgers, fries & a bottle of pop for £20! At first i thought it was a mistake but that was the deal on offer. When i got home my kids and wife commented that this was the best burger they had had for a while and i had to agree. The buns were warm and soft, the fries were fresh as well as the chicken. All in all this was a successful mission and i will be coming back. Keep up...

It’s been a 6-7 years since i’ve been to this once fine establishment so i decided to give it a try again. To my absolute dismay, i noticed delroy and steve in the back playing football with a mouldy mango. When i asked about this incident, all they could say to me was “charge it bro it’s our 6-7 minute break”. I think this is absolutely disgusting and it will not be tolerated. Following this situation, when i sat down steve offered me a mango for just a quarter, this seemed like a good deal so i accepted it but as i ate it i noticed it had a very strong mustard taste. When i was eating my burger, i looked down at the floor and seen a used green banana strawberry flavoured condom on the floor??? In a restaurant i think this is absolutely not on and i will complain to gareth about this. Finally, when i went to pay for the food the total came to £67 and when i asked why its so expensive they told me its for the mango i was told simply costs a quarter?? I will not go here again but if the shoe is size 5 then allah shall...

Had to update my last review. I thiught I'd use this place as a little cheaper option than KFC as they had more to offer. Boy, was I wrong .... The place has gone downhill from my last visit. Chicken was soaked in oil and another box of chicken, which was so dry it must have been from the night before and recooked. I ordered a bucket with sides, and the coleslaw i got came in a tub they use for dips. How are you meant to eat over 10 chicken pieces with a teaspoon of coleslaw? They didn't even deliver the beans or the dessert I paid for. It was terrible service as I rang them, only to be fobbed off as they couldn't understand why I was complaining? Luckily, being a long user of just eat, I had some of my money refunded ..... Will never order...
