New Chop Suey House — Restaurant in Sandwell

I haven't had a meal from here for a very long time, always remembered it as good,however meal delivered this evening was awful 😞

Pros - Prawn crackers nice Chips- nice

Cons- Special Curry very little meat/Prawns it was bulked out with onions and peas in a very heavy salty sauce yuk!

Pancake roll basically Beansprouts in batter nothing else.

Most expensive Chinese takeaway we have encountered for worse taste and value.

Fortunately I have a urban Fox who is a regular visitor each night who is always starving I'm sure he will not be fussy for this to be his supper tonight 🦊

Would absolutely not...

We have used this takeaway for over 30 years and even been using it since it changed hands but only sporadically.... because the meals are hit and miss. More so the curry sauce is off another planet. Chowmein is dry and flavourless fried rice is mostly sticky and chips like card board. we have to continually complain...... is it just us or is every Chinese takeaway just pinging meals and have lost the will to produce fresh cooked food.......

Doing our first order, asked if they could do salt pepper prawns without the bell peppers(cannot eat them), but they refused and said its all done together. Screams not cooked fresh to me. As you'd just not add the bell peppers to the mix when cooking. Lost our custom. Off to order from China Express Walsall, they always take the bell peppers out and do the rest of the spices for me.
