Our 2nd visit to Bella Vita when stopping over in Glasgow with my brother and sister-in-law last Saturday, 6th September, on route home to Kent after visiting family in the north......
.....we sometimes have take away meals there, but really nice to sit inside. My husband is football mad, so the many photos of the owner rubbing shoulders with an array of footballers over the years was of great interest, particularly to him. We had a great time trying to name some, only managed a few đ....
.....staff know my brother and sister-in-law very well, as they are regular visitors. My husband and I were welcomed too. I'm gluten and dairy intolerant and therefore, I'm always cautious when eating out and often menu choices are rather limiting. I was overwhelmed not just by the choices available here for someone like me, but also that I ended up with a delicious pasta dish that was personalised for me (I also struggle with anything too spicy hot or too much garlic). A huge thank you to the restaurant manager (apologies forgotten names). I was also prepared a gratis 'free from' starter, which my stomach loved, as food on route is never for me (I had an Ella bar for lunch; I was really hungry having travelled for 4 hours or more). The half carafe of house red was also very nice. To top it all, as my husband and I insisted paying the bill, I couldn't believe how reasonable the prices were....a huge thankyou all round. We'll be north again in April and returning to this amazing restaurant.

Read moreI had an incredibly disappointing experience at this restaurant. From the moment we sat down, the service was unacceptably slow. We waited an unreasonably long time for a menu, even after calling the server multiple times. Each time we asked, we were just told to wait, with no explanation or sense of urgency.
When we finally managed to place our order, it was yet another struggle. Despite repeatedly trying to get the staffâs attention, they seemed more interested in anything but attending to us. The level of inattentiveness was frustrating and made the entire dining experience unpleasant.
Unfortunately, things only got worse from there. When the server came to clear our table, they accidentally knocked food onto my clothingâan incident that could have at least warranted an apology, but instead, it was brushed off as if nothing had happened.
As for the food, it was equally disappointing. The pasta was overcooked to the point of being mushy and completely lacking in texture or flavor. It was honestly one of the worst pasta dishes Iâve ever had, which is quite ironic for an Italian restaurant.
Overall, this was one of the worst dining experiences Iâve had in a long time. Between the dreadful service, careless staff, and subpar food, I wouldnât recommend this place to anyone. There are plenty of better restaurants in the areaâsave your time and money and go...
Read moreOutstanding service, staff are really accomodating to your needs and requirements. The tables spaced apart so as to get a wheelchair, baby buggy or persons with poor mobility between them easily. There are no steps or ramps to negotiate on entering the restaurant, the lighting is good enough for well sighted persons however there is an option to have lighting in your area brightened if your have visual problems. Seating is very comfortable, tables are a great height for both seated customers and those requiring a wheelchair to mobilise. The food itself, well it's lovely, the quality is excellent and the taste is amazing. There may be a slight issue of you recieving too much however this can be boxed up to take away if that is the case. You can still hold conversation easily with the background music playing yet it is loud enough for you to enjoy when eating. There is ample parking to the rear of the building or if you may be fortunate to find a space in the roadside parking bays. This was our first visit and we do...
