I had the pleasure of dining at Angeethi recently, and it was an exceptional experience from start to finish. Interestingly, our first encounter with their delightful cuisine was through an online order, which was impressive. However, the dine-in experience was truly brilliant and far surpassed our expectations.

Upon arrival, we were warmly welcomed and served complimentary Tapioca Poppadum and Gujarati Khakhra accompanied by a selection of dips—mix veg pickle, spiced onions, and mint coriander chutney. This thoughtful gesture set the tone for an exceptional meal.

We began with the Kala Khatta mocktail, which was incredibly refreshing and unique—it transported me back to my childhood days of enjoying Kala Khatta Gola (snow cones) by the beaches in Mumbai.

For starters, we ordered the desi aloo tikki chaat, and it was nothing short of authentic. The texture was perfect—crispy and crunchy on the outside, soft and flavourful on the inside—reminiscent of the aloo tikki from Uttar Pradesh.

Our mains included the Palak Paneer paired with garlic and coriander naan. The Palak Paneer was fresh and smooth, with paneer that melted in our mouths, bursting with delightful flavours. The naan complemented the dish perfectly.

Though tempted to try their Rabri Rose Falooda, renowned for its freshly made in-house rabri, we were too full and decided to save it for our next visit. To our delight, we were served complimentary masala chai, which was excellent and the perfect end to our meal.

The warm hospitality from Farooq and Riya made us feel genuinely welcomed. Overall, it was a fantastic dining experience. We’ll be visiting regularly and wholeheartedly recommend Angeethi to...

This is the first time we have tried Angeethi and it was amazing!!!! The best takeaway we've had in years. We picked up the food and it was ready so quickly, and nice & hot. The service I received was lovely, so as promised to the very polite staff I'm more than happy to leave this review.

All the food was fantastic, the smells were wonderful. My husband had the South Garlic Chilli Chicken and Basmati rice, he said it was so so tasty and the best he'd had in a long time, we also shared Murgh Pakora (chicken) & Vegetable Pakora, Garlic & Coriander Nan bread and the Bambai Ka Vada Pa (potato fritter sandwich - very soft and fluffy) everything was so fresh and flavourful.

The absolute star of our meal for me was the Desi Aloo Tikki........ WOW !!!, I'm blown away at how beautifully presented this was, it was stunning, I've never tasted anything like this excellent before. It got better & better with each bite, so much so that my poor family only got to try a very small bite each. My plate was cleared. I tend not to choose very spicy foods so this was a brilliant menu option.

We're very luck as we live 5 minutes away from the restaurant, definitely now our new favourite place. Next time we will treat ourselves to a visit. So lovely to have fantastic food in a local community.

Definitely a 5 star...

Authentic, flavourful, and traditional in the best way. The aloo tiki was outstanding, crispy on the outside with that classic spice balance, sweetened yoghurt, the best vegetarian dish you could ask for. The tandoori lamb is next level, cooked perfectly pink and well balanced. The Chicken 65 is always a must have when seen on a menu but this is by far the best one I’ve ever ate.

The drinks deserve their own shoutout too. The mocktails were super refreshing and creative, but what really impressed me was the selection of Indian wine and beer—something you don’t see everywhere, and they paired beautifully with the food.

What makes the experience even better is the team. Farooq, the restaurant manager, is incredibly knowledgeable and professional—he doesn’t just recommend dishes, he explains the flavours, the pairings, and makes you feel like you’re on a guided food journey. You can see that Chef Sagar is cooking with passion—the love he puts into his food really comes through on the plate.

Overall, this place is a perfect mix of traditional flavour and amazing hospitality.

A new favourite, will be back...

We booked at 4pm 12th July, hottest day of the year in Glasgow. Restaurant was quiet which didn't bother us Restaurant is really lovely šŸ˜, just a nice size. Customer service was amazing. The 2 ladies attended to our every need. Food eas exceptional šŸ˜‹. The starter they gave us was delicious. We then had a chicken and fish starter to share. I had the buttered chicken and Danny had the South Indian Chilli lamb. We had boiled rice and a garlic and Coriander Nan. So so tasty. Highlight of the afternoon was meeting Saagar again after nearly 3 years. We followed him on Masterchef and had Xmas dinner 2022 at the Marine Hotel Troon where he was the Chef. So pleased to see him progress to having his own restaurant. Thank you Saagar See you all soon. Oh, very reasonably priced for exceptional food šŸ˜‹

Just had dinner with the family. Cute place! Great service from Farook and Riya. The chef accommodated all our dietary requirements The vada paav and special Bhelpuri were excellent. The saag( even without cream as per our request) was absolutely brilliant! Hats off to chef Sagar!! The vegetable biriyani was fantastic! The channa could have been a little less spicy. The daal makhni was delicious! Naan bread was really soft and fluffy. The vegetable raita was good too! The smoked tikka was something I’d never had before! I really like the garnish on the mango lassi! All in all a very good meal. Best wishes to chef sagar for a great future; and we will return to check the rest of the menu. Enjoyed the complementary chai at the end! Thanks guys and keep doing a good job!

I went to Angeethi last night with my friend and I’m so glad that we did 🤩 before I get to the food I’d like to compliment Farouk for his stunning service, he was professional, competent in all aspects of the food and wines on offer either very in depth advice on both plus pairing the wines with certain foods - he was top notch šŸ‘ŒšŸ¼ now to the food - WoW is what I have to say ! I can quite honestly say that this is the best Indian food I have ever had and I have eaten Indian food for many years. My friend is not too keen on Indian food but he had to agree that the food in this restaurant is amazing and pairing it with the recommended wines also went down very well ⭐ So massive congrats to Sagar and Farouk and the team - keep up the great work šŸ‘šŸ¼ Charlie
