Right, the best haggis supper I've ever had. Chips were the usual high standard from an Ayrshire chip shop. My daughter's Irish and this was her first visit and I've not been home in too long. She commented on these being the best chips ever as we went off for the customary walk down the shore. At night though, to avoid the seagulls haha. Cheers lads for the prompt service and outstanding quality. There was a lengthy queue and good buzz indoors in the seated area. It's obviously a favourite among the locals. When I was a kid this place was also the well-renowned Wellington Cafe. Looks like the torch was successfully passed on. We didn't manage any pics of the food, it didn't last long enough. Delicious 🤤 Well done Blue Lagoon.

Out for a sponsored walk, we were looking for somewhere to stop for something to eat. Easier said than done when you can’t eat gluten or dairy, but the staff at the Blue Lagoon provided me with my first ever sausage supper - and there were no nasty after effects either. A separate menu, separate fryer - and even a separate condiments tray - made for a lovely experience that gave me absolute confidence all was safe to eat. Massive thanks to Flavio, Lyndsey and our lovely, chatty server Darlene, we’re looking forward to returning soon. Can’t recommend them enough for those unable to eat gluten and dairy.

We stopped here for dinner on our way back to catch a ferry to Belfast. I can honestly say that this place serves the most amazing fish and chips - honestly the best I can remember! The batter was light and crispy and the fish was melt in the mouth. Everyone in our party agreed that their food was great quality - the chips even tasted like potato! That may sound bizarre but back in Northern Ireland the chips aren't as great as that. Its was all very reasonably priced too.

Came here on 8th June 25 was very disappointed in this place had a few dinners take out fish supper had a horrible taste to it sausage supper sausage was burt and again wasn't nice also had a steak pie supper again pie was horrible it looked if it sat there all day we normally go to one on seafront but we seen this one and gave it a try how disappointed we where to finish things off the man who was frying went into the back and brought a fish out from back in his hands again very unhygienic it turned my stomach and I felt very sick well bl manager thanks for the reply but I've not a clue what footage your looking at certainly not my order as I stand by what I've said and this is the truth and as per refund or replacement never mentioned as we live in England long way to come i think for replacement never mentioned refund either on further to that the establishment in question I would advise everyone to avoid if you value your health freshly cooked apart from the fish that was carried from the back in his hand no other was freshly cooked well not...

Went in on Friday around 2pm, sat down, the sit in area was about half full (not very busy). We waited a while and a few people were given their orders but no one came to take our order. We waited a bit longer. No one served us. We waited even longer and one woman who was working at the takeaway bit told us the other woman would take our order soon. The takeaway woman spoke to the other woman who was working in our area but she continued to ignore us... still, we waited a bit longer (since we'd already invested about 15 minutes of sitting about waiting to be served). The woman then started cleaning tables rather than take our order - I don't mean clearing dirty plates, I mean tables that no one had been sitting at she just decided to wipe them down rather than take our order. There was no one waiting for tables, there was no need for them to be cleaned at that precise moment when we'd been waiting for 20 minutes just for someone to take our order. We left. Terrible service. Actually quite bizarre...
