Visiting Ayr I've been exercising most mornings with long walks seaside & around the City. I average about an hour & half per day & like to reward myself with a hot drink somewhere when I'm done. Sad to say I haven't found anywhere in the week Ive been here... until this morning.
Cafe Ginger opens at 6.30am, it serves light snacks to a full breakfast and portions are generous. I ordered soup with granary bread & butter. Thrilled to get a big bowl of piping hot soup with two slices of bread that looked like doorstops... and for less tha £3! Bravo!

There was a massive queue for takeaway though so I get why they might focus on that. I ordered a ham sandwich with mustard mayo. As I remembered the bread was freshly baked and thick cut, the ham was tender, though a bit salty for my taste, and the mustard mayo added a nice punch.
