So, I ordered a bit of food for my family through Just Eat on Tuesday night for collection at 7:50pm. Me and the family headed doon tae pick it up at 8:07pm, thinking weād just grab it and go. When I got there, the lad behind the counter was sound, really polite despite lookinā run aff his feet. He tells me straight away, āMate, weāre short-staffed the night. Thereās only me and one other, and weāre struggling tae keep up wiā the orders.ā
I felt bad for the guy ācause ye could tell he was up tae his eyes in it. He even said some other orders hadnāt been processed for the same reason, they just couldnāt keep up. Then, he goes on tae say heās been getting absolute pelters oāer the phone from folk kickinā off ācause theyāre noā gettinā their food. Mustāve been a nightmare shift for him, man.
He was dead decent about it though and suggested I go through the app and apply for a refund. So, I did it while I was still standinā there, hoping tae get it sorted right away. But naw, turns oot theyād marked the food as collected, so the refund didnāt go through properly.
Now, Iāve got all the proof ā the order details, the time I arrived, aw that ā and Iāve spoken tae someone about it already. If it doesnae get sorted soon, Iāll be takinā it tae the Ombudsman tae get it resolved. This isnae just aboot the Ā£20-Ā£30, itās the principle here. Thereās likely a load of folk caught up in the same hassle, and these companies need tae be held responsible. You cannae just leave folk high and dry like that ā itās noā right, and Iām noā letting it slide.
Itās about fair treatment, noā just for me but for everyone else dealing wiā the...

This mall with Primark was our very first stop upon reaching Glasgow and we were definitely hungry after travelling for hours. Let's dive in.
Food: Ordered rice with some add-ons. We didn't really understand the concept earlier but managed to, after 10mins of understanding how the customers in Q ordered their food. There are 3 options; small, medium and large with either rice or noodle base.
Service: The accent was abit different so we had a slight challenge in the level of understanding, but the lady wearing black was rather patient with us. After our order, the lady at the cashier took our order for the sides and drinks. She definitely gets A* for the effort. If it wasnt for her efforts in getting the message across to us well and clear, we would be holding up the Q behind us. So ya, keep up the great efforts yeah!
Atmosphere: The place was rather squeezy, it would have been better if there was a better spaced layout BUT we know that it may not be what the management wants. The place is lovely and lively, so it's a great place for a quick bite..
All in all, this halal food option at L2 is a definitely place to go for halal food options. Just note that it is warm food, not hot food ya. š Oh ya, no food pix this time as we were famished and just gobbled all...
Read moreSuper friendly and helpful service from young Alex! Didn't know what to pick for my partner. When I asked questions, Alex and her colleague (sorry I forgot to check his name badge) gave me good suggestions and recommendations. Everything we had was very tasty, my partner (working at home) really enjoyed his lunch. As I was buying a cold drink for myself, Alex advised me to get a meal deal for an extra few pence so we got a starter/side(?) as well. Recommended dishes - noodles, bbq chicken, teriyaki beef, salt n pepper chicken, red Thai chicken curry (that was much favourite) . The only thing I would say is that it's a wee bit pricey, almost £18 for 1 large box, 1 small box, 1 small start and 1 bottle of ice tea, but that's a company matter not the fault of the individual restaurant I would imagine. But we did really enjoy it and it's a nice change from the usual takeaways you get...
