We had a lovely lunch here overlooking the boats in the harbour. Very friendly and helpful service, especially as we had our daughter with us and the waitress brought out some pens and paper for colouring in. The food was excellent - we tried the chowder, the steak pie, the cajun chips and for dessert sticky toffee pudding and the Highland sundae, all delicious. The atmosphere was lovely and calm in the restaurant as well, not loud and overwhelming.

A NO vote .We went for a full breakfast. The front man said : have a seat, coffee is here, help yourself. Haggis and black pudding were dry without any taste, Tomato cold. In general if you expect good quality food and not be robbed - do not go there. You have to pay extra for tosts ( two tosts £2.50) and they charge you for the coffee too 👏😁 Yep - Go to Spain and allow that local economy to sink.

Came here after searching for cocktails. I'm sure they could make you some of the regular stuff, but definitely more of a standard pub style and not a cocktail bar. However, they do have these gin teas, where they infuse gin and they are quite good. We got the elderflower/rhubarb infusion and it was quite delicious. The atmosphere was welcoming and we had a fun conversation with our bartender!

Had precooked before going for our meal. Once we arrived we were informed that we could have our table 'only' for 1half hrs due to being busy (it's the summer in Oban, it's going to be busy!), we were not told this when we booked. Had a window table, which has an amazing view of the bay and islands in the distance. The food is generally moderately priced and tasty, but we felt that 1 main course was not value for money and its size was that of a starter.

The main meal in question was Scallops.....priced around £15. There were 2 (yes only 2) on the small side Scallops, each presented in a Scallop shell with some salad in the middle of the plate. That's it! We questioned a member of staff on the proportion size and were told that they were King Scallops, which they very much were not.

To give you a comparison, we ate at EEUSK in Oban and I had a starter of Scallops, 3 large Scallops with a subtle cheese & wine sauce with a substantial salad that had more than the standard lettuce, tomatoes & cucumber. It was priced at £9.95. A larger serving for a cheaper price! When we were finished our meal, we thought we would sit outside on the chairs & table provided by the restaurant, but we declined when we were told that no alcohol could be consumed outside, only soft drinks! The waiter told us they were the only restaurant not given a licence and he didn't know why. Would not go back, for the reasons...

The food wasn't bad itself , the service terrible . I asked for gluten free meals for myself since it was written that there was gluten free bread available upon request . I was brought the starter and told that both starters had gluten free bread . I asked if they could just do one gluten free and one normal since my parents and boyfriend eat normal and gluten free bread is not the greatest of taste. Upon asking the waiter said that we could indeed do that since they had both gluten free and normal bread. When they brought the mains they gave me the gluten free bread and it was clearly different from the one in the starter. Once I asked again for clarification, they told me that the one in the starter contained gluten , even after I had asked a couple of times beforehand to be sure. The only waiter that apologised to me , was the one that did not serve us or had brought food to us, a boy with dark hair. The other two were rude , and the girl , the one that brought the starters and told me both were gluten free , asked my father if I had even asked for a gluten free meal when ordering the food. Just an absolute joke...

This is a great little restaurant / bistro. Pleasant welcoming staff, good selection on all menus. Had a lovely breakfast served by a competent young waitress, food was good, hot and ample portions. Lovely start to the day.

Also had a fantastic lunch here as well. Again good number of choices on the menu. Soup of the day was definitely home made and delicious. Boil bag seafood selection a pure joy to eat, also made on premises. Recommend the in house made sticky toffee pudding and ice cream. At lunch my wife had a main roast beef dinner which she really enjoyed, good food, hot and ample serving. For sweet she had cheese cake, also an ample portions with fresh cream.

Definitely a place to visit for a meal while in Oban. All round 100%...
