Visited this coffee shop yesterday (20/12/2017), at about 2.50pm, the shop was busy, under staffed, tables not cleared away, impolite staff, unhelpful and very unprofessional, dirty cutlery, drinks not finished to normal standards.
I had been invited into a costa by the Head office, told me I would be impressed, what a shock I found. I waited in a queue of 8 people, when it was my turn, I ordered 2 hot chocolate ( which had to be put in large tea cups as they had no clean glasses) there was no chocolate placed on top of them.my young daughter found it hard to drink out of this large cup. I also ordered a tiffin and chocolate muffin, when I got to my table, found I had been given 2 dirty knifes( see pictures).
We looked around and there was at least 5/6 tables that hadn't been cleared, no wonder they couldn't put the drinks in the correct glasses, tables un wiped, not a welcoming site.
This venue is very under staffed, unprofessional staff in there behaviour, have to ask a very big question on there hygiene standards with dirty cutlery. Would I visit this coffee shop again , sadly it's a 100% NO, would I recommend it , again...
Read moreIf you want to be shivering while trying to relax and have a coffee then this is the place for you! Coffee goes cold so quickly due to the blasting AC in the cafe IN AUTUMN. You know that way where itâs ice cold outside and you just want to sit in a nice warm cafe and heat up with a hot drink? Yeh, you canât do that here. Youâll be even colder after sitting in. I know itâs probably a way to get customers to leave quicker, making more seats available but this place is usually filled with old people and mums with babies, they all usually have to keep their jackets on because itâs so cold in this costa. OH! Bonus! The one girl that works mainly morning shifts apparently doesnât know how to communicate or talk to people. She talks to the elderly fine but anyone younger and sheâs immediately cold. Anyway, it is the Piazza so I should have expected...
Read moreThey always seem to lack the vegan food options. When you ask for soya milk or the vegan spread they've usually run out so you have to then pay extra for the oat and jam to use instead which cost more. Availability of the vegan stuff is always really low and they don't even have as good of a plant based range as the Costas in the center of Glasgow. They also changed their soya milk supplier from Alpro to something that doesn't taste nice at all and stopped doing discounts for those working in the shopping centre. The vegan food is also very overpriced. The only reason I go in at all is that is the only place close to my work. The staff are lovely though and it's a nice enough place so probably fine if you are not vegan/plant based but wouldn't recommend if you are vegan. Kettle Black is much better for vegan stuff but it's not open before...
