Efes Cafe Bistro — Restaurant in Scotland

We stopped at Efes Cafe Bistro brunch during a brief stay in Dundee. The cafe looked quite appealing from the outside due to the wood interior theme. That's where the appeal ends, however, as the odd behaviour from the staff and poor quality food were a real let down.

We ordered a burger with fries and the mac'n'cheese with salad alongside a couple of coffees. The waitress returned 5 mins later to check what we had ordered despite having it written down in their pad. The food then arrived 20 mins later, but without drinks or cutlery. We had to ask multiple times over the next 10 mins to get the drinks and cutlery. This treatment wasn't just reserved for us as it happened to the next four tables of customers. This was quite frustrating and could easily be fixed with a bit of organisation.

The food itself was poor. The burger and fries were average and could be bought from any chippy. The mac'n'cheese was very bland, however, and the salad was clearly past its best. The green leaves were wilted and brown, and had an odd tangy taste. Likewise the coffees were inedible; honestly the worst americano I've ever had. If I didn't know what it was I wouldn't have guessed; a bizarre metallic tasting and tangy drink in a dirty mug that was undrinkable.

The poor atmosphere was worsened when the waitress returned to move our tables and those of the customers next to us. We were sitting on the window seats which were, in turns out, being used for cup storage. We had to interrupt our meals in order for the waitress to rummage around inside thenl window seats for a couple of minutes. This was clearly frustrating to ourselves and the customers next to us.

I can't therefore recommend Efes Cafe Bistro. The food was poor quality, the staff disorganised, and the price too high for...

Dropped by earlier this week and was not impressed in the slightest about the behaviour from the staff.

Staff behind the counter were very rude to me and even spoke about me to another customer very loudly, making sure I knew they were talking about me. This confused me as all I did was order my items then take a seat.

The cafe at first looks warm and welcoming yet inside is most definitely not! Tables were not clean and were not getting cleaned anytime soon by the looks. A staff member phone was charging at my table and I was not allowed to move it.

Would not recommend to anyone.

food's nice, lady sighed at the chef as we walked in felt like an inconvenience to the lady. Ordered a milkshake was told when ordering would take a while, the food came had half our breakfast before the drink was ready only for it to sit on the counter for 7 minutes before I went up and got it the waiter apologised but nothing from the lady and no straws either wasn't a great experience let down as the place looks great and was far better last...
