On my travels around the UK I try to find Wetherspoons as they are consistently good value but this place was not upto usual standards. As it was a Thursday Curry night I ordered Beef Madras. The lad taking my order did his job right, asking me if I wished to upgrade from plain naan to garlic naan, which I declined but I did add the 2 onion bhajis, which were an additional payment. When the meal arrived it was missing the bhajis which I pointed out to the waitress. She said they run out of bhajis and offered a refund for them. I was then politely asked by the supervisor/manager to accompany him to the bar area as he is not allowed to touch my credit card for the refund. I pointed out to him that my meal was also missing the naan bread and he said that they were out of naan breads but had substituted 2 poppadoms instead. ( It's difficult to mop up curry sauce with crispy poppadoms!) . When I got back to my table I realised that the mango chutney which is also part of the dish was also absent but by this time I was past caring. To cap it all I had 2 pints of very decent Titanic IPA and then ordered and paid for a third pint via the app. A waitress informed that they had run out of Titanic so I asked her for one of the other draught IPAs. She came back to inform that they had run out of all IPAs so I settled for a pint Abbot Ale after which I left earlier than I'd originally intended. A very...

If I could give this no stars then I would. Service was absolutely terrible, food was absolutely disgusting and cold. I would not recommend this place. My baked potato with cheeses and beans was a spoonful of beans and a pinch of cheese, it was frozen as well. Staff need to learn manners, my friend got chicken breast bites that was supposed to come with a sweet sticky soy sauce, instead she got 2 portions of chicken, we called a lady over and asked about the sauce, she came back and told us sorry but we've none left. I don't know why this wasn't told to us when the chicken bites came out at first. She then named the other sauces that could be given, my friend asked for BBQ sauce. She then waited about 10minutes and still no sauce, we called a lady over who shouted at us that she was busy, instead of just politely saying I will be with you in a moment. She then proceeded to shout loudly at a member of staff how to do a task, when someone eventually came over we asked about the BBQ sauce and was given a bottle. To top it off, after we'd finished our meal so another 10minutes later, so maybe 20minutes after we had originally asked about the sauce, another member of staff came out with 2 little dishes of BBQ sauce and said sorry about your wait. Well you were a bit...

Well as I am still shocked after our negative experience last night in this pub I'll write it down. I've worked in the same industry for 12 yrs but was never ever allowed to grab a glass from a customer's hand what's more to be aggressive with them esp if it is a woman. The customer is always right. If I pay for a drink I want to finish it in a pleasant way. If I want to talk to the manager and explain him my issues he at least should apologize which he never did in our case. This kind of behaviour should not be allowed in any such case. They even called the police who by the way were surprised as we obviously seemed decent citizens so they actually advised us to make an official complaint which will hopefully result in a little education among the mannerless undereducated staff. I understand they can lose their licence - which I hope they will eventually- if a customer doesn't leave in time but there's a way of asking a customer properly....oh btw they forgot to bring one of our food as well and another one was extremely salty....very bad...

Weatherspoons in general are odd pubs to visit and this one is no exception. You have the young crowd sitting there on their phones, drinking cocktail jugs and barely looking at each other, then you have the old guys at the bar drinking half pints of ale with a wee dram chaser, plus this pub is always packed and always feels understaffed in the evenings. There's also no music or TVs to distract. The food is great for what you pay for it and the fact you can order on the app and get your food and drinks brought to the table is excellent. Although due to lack of staff the drinks coming to the table took longer than getting the food. I had the empire state burger which is a great burger if you're hungry, I managed to finish it but it deal feel like I was on an episode of man v food.

“Curry roulette, Dundee-style.” Popped into The Counting House for what I hoped would be a decent meal. Ordered the Chicken Tikka and a Katsu Curry. The Tikka? Passable. Not memorable, not awful – just kind of there. The Katsu Curry, however, was a journey. One half clearly spent the last hour slowly dying under a heat lamp, developing that crusty, reheated resentment only found in buffet leftovers. The other half was so cold it felt like it had just been defrosted by someone breathing on it. Honestly, it was like eating a meal made by two chefs who’ve never met and definitely don’t talk. If you enjoy lukewarm disappointment with a side of confusion, you’ll be in heaven. Otherwise, maybe stick to the drinks

Big restaurant, where almost everything is possible. Delicious food, plenty kinds of meals, portions for everybody. Easy procedure for order. If you want, you choose anything at the pult and they bring it. If you want, you can choose food or drink in application, you pay and they bring it. You have more time for deciding, you can thinking about. If you order coffee or tea, they bring you empty cup and you serve yourself. Many brands alcohol free beers. Good choice for me, for couples, for friends, students and also for people all ages. The game machines can disturb you. Almost always it is crowded, but always you can find a table for your friends or group.
