El Greco rocks!! 😎👍
After wandering through the lord, provost house, the museum of religion, the Glasgow cathedral, and the necropolis we were ready for some good food.
I saw this place on the map, and we headed over. Quite an outstanding street vendor! We had two gyro wraps and two waters. The whole thing only set us back 15 pounds.
When I first stepped up to the counter, I kind of wondered why there were two people running a stand like this. Then I noticed, as the owner made the sandwich. The second gentleman cooked. The fries still seemed a little strange to me. That was, until he put the wrap together. You see, it takes two people to manhandle the enormous amount of food stuffed in the little pita into any kind of a container. As it turned out, the pita was more of an edible plate than something you tried to take a bite of lol.
The service was super friendly, there was great blues, music, playing through the speakers, he even had chairs and a small table for those that wish to eat nearby. We opted to walk about 100 steps and go to the secluded garden behind the provost house. if you’re in the area, and want great food and a lot of it… For an incredible price, go...
Read moreI tried the falafel gyros, and it was absolutely delicious. The falafel was perfectly seasoned, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside, all wrapped in warm, fluffy pita. My partner opted for the chicken gyros which was equally impressive. The chicken was tender and flavorful, making each bite a delight.
Generous Portions - One of the standout features of our meal was the ample quantity. We were pleasantly surprised by the generous servings, ensuring that we left feeling satisfied and happy.
Friendly Service - To top it all off, the staff were incredibly nice and friendly. Their welcoming demeanor added to the overall positive experience, making us feel right at home.
Conclusion I highly recommend this place to anyone looking for delicious gyros in a friendly atmosphere. Whether you’re a vegetarian or a meat lover, there’s something here for everyone. Don't miss out on this...
Read moreCame here for a quick stop after going to the cathedral. Firstly the chef has a very friendly disposition and gives you the impression that no request is too much. I ordered the mixed skapasti and my girlfriend ordered the falafel gyros. Mine was excellent! The meat was cooked to perfection, the sauce was unique and extremely tasty in a savory sense. It is huge, so it is for two people. My girlfriend is vegtarian so has had a lot if falafel and she absolutely loved hers. As i couldn't finish mine, the chef was kind enough to provide me with a plastic bag and new back to take the rest away. I've travelled around a lot of greece and this was one of the best greek meals I've ever had....
