Overall the food was above average, the service was good and the restaurant itself was impeccable. The restaurant is positioned behind the Tennants brewery and if you didn't know it was there you'd probably miss it. The courtyard was quaint and immaculate and reminded me of a lovely summer beer garden. When my partner and I entered we were greeted quite quickly and shown to our table, the server didn't tell us her name but she was really friendly. We were given the food menu and a clip board with the list of drinks. The drinks list was on about 6 or 7 pages and advertised a large selection of larger, IPA, stout, wines, spirits and coffee. Our drinks order was taken (larger was off the menu tonight so I opted for the Apple IPA instead, very good considering this is the first time I have drank an IPA). Then, our food order was taken by a different server who wanted to get us drinks, obviously some miscommunication between the servers. I had the Mackerel to start and David had the soup of the day (tomato and basil), the appetizers were phenomenal and I can't recommend them highly enough. The mains were a little different, I ordered the sweet potato and falafel burger which was flavourful but somewhat dry, I had to keep taking a drink after every bite, David's fish and chips were good and the standard for most places but the batter was a little soggy. My observations of the open plan kitchen was that most of the chefs were very sanitary and would clean after every plate left the pass, one thing I did notice was one chef carrying a dirty tea towel on his shoulder, which any chef would know is a tad unsanitary. The restaurant was 5* for cleanliness and all plates, glasses, etc were removed and the table cleaned as soon as the customers walked out. The bill came to £45 for 2 starters, 2 mains and 2 pints, not bad at all in my opinion. Also I'm extremely picky about restrooms and I have to say that, although they need a good lick of paint, they are kept to an impeccably clean standard. Overall, I would go here again

What an amazing first experience at Drygate. First off, from entering the building I couldn’t help but notice just how clean and maintained the outside space was. Usually with other bars around town there’s rubbish and cigarettes everywhere but nothing like that here at all. In entering the building I was greeted by staff who got me to my seat really quickly, they even gave us a small booth area which was ideal as I had my dog with me. The view from the tables was also amazing as you had a clear view into the brewery. I wasn’t sure on which beer to get but the staff gave me some recommendations and every single one was 10/10. I was served exceptionally quick despite it being busy and they even got my dog some water and made a fuss of her which was lovely. Also the music was outstanding. Lots of 60s, 70s and 80s along with some new songs but a really good mix for all ages. Can’t wait to come here in the summer, they have such a big outdoor area, upstairs and downstairs. They also do functions such as weddings, birthday parties etc and I truly believe this place would be amazing for functions like this, they even have customer parking which is a bonus with it being so central. I’m really glad I passed this place and took a chance, especially with my dog as I had no idea this place was dog friendly so it will definitely be my new place to go when I’m out walking her. They also have a cute little gift shop which I thought was a great touch. Lots of good items to purchase at good prices. I’m also an NHS worker and they do bluelight discounts which is ideal after a tough shift in the hospital. Not many places offer this discount so it’s really good to see. Thanks again to all the staff at drygate for a great experience. Will most definitely be back.

A Gem in Glasgow's Industrial Crown: Drygate Brewery Drygate Brewery is a must-visit for any craft beer enthusiast or simply someone seeking a vibrant and delicious experience in Glasgow. Nestled within a converted box factory, the building itself is a conversation starter, boasting a unique 7-peaked roof that hints at Glasgow's rich industrial heritage. Step inside, and the modern, open-plan space seamlessly blends industrial chic with a warm, inviting atmosphere. The star of the show, of course, is the beer. Drygate boasts a fantastic selection of their own brewed ales, catering to a range of palates. Whether you're a fan of hoppy IPAs or prefer a smoother, maltier brew, there's something for you to discover. The staff are incredibly knowledgeable and happy to recommend something based on your preferences. But Drygate isn't just about the beer. The food menu is equally impressive, offering a delicious selection of dishes that perfectly complement their brews. From pub classics with a twist to more adventurous options, you're sure to find something to satisfy your hunger. Don't miss the chance to take a brewery tour! It's a fascinating glimpse behind the scenes, where you can learn about the brewing process and see firsthand the passion that goes into every Drygate creation. Overall, Drygate Brewery is a fantastic spot for a casual lunch, a lively evening with friends, or a unique experience for visitors to Glasgow. With its delicious beers, mouthwatering food, and friendly atmosphere, Drygate is sure to leave a lasting impression.
