We got a Groupon deal for 2. Pizza or pasta, up to the value of £8.50, and 2 soft drinks. Our server didn't seem to understand Scots Leid, or very much English once we changed how we spoke and tried to be very clear. Most of the responses we got from him were "ok". My boyfriend tried to ask if he could use the £8.50 for a pizza and pay the rest, as he ordered a pizza which was larger. However the server took this as LITERALLY larger so we were charged £3.50 more than intended for the pizza. We ordered bruschetta al pomodoro which was packed with tomatoes, and we were overcharged by £0.05. Check my receipt and the photo of the menu! It's not really so much of a big deal, but it's the principle that counts. We didn't bring it up because we just wanted to leave. My pasta with mussels was very nice, and I was happy with it! My boyfriend also got a Merlot wine which he enjoyed, though it tasted cheap, but it was a big glass for the price, so we can't complain. The atmosphere was... awkward to say the least, with servers just standing staring at us. Overall this place has good value for money, but I am unsure if I...

Bit of a strange dining experience. My Mum had bought a Groupon voucher for 2 pastas/pizzas and 2 soft drinks. We were booked for a Tuesday evening and we were the only people there at 7pm so the atmosphere felt a bit strange, especially with the couple that own it just standing around in silence and there was no music playing. When we walked in the woman behind the counter almost looked confused that we were there and didn't greet us in anyway... When we said that we had a booking she just silently pointed to a table. The conversation from the owners was minimal throughout the hour we were there and they both seemed like they really didn't want to be there. We ordered two pizzas which were freshly made and actually alright, though my 'Parma ham and wild mushroom' pizza was definitely just processed sandwich ham and regular mushrooms. Wouldn't return here to be honest - food was fine but service and atmosphere was a...

FOREIGNERS AVOID, absolute SCAM. Came with four friends and after paying we realised the bill was higher than stated on the menu. When we asked why, this Indian guy said that the menu changed and the new menus were arriving tomorrow. Total bull, especially since when we tried talking to the lady waiter instead, she said it’s a sitting price. They could not even get their stories right. After complaining, the Indian guy just tossed two pounds on the table and told us to leave. Absolute rubbish and scam. Check my photos, the price on the menu for lasagna is 6.20 and the price for fish and chips is 6.50. But in the receipt they charged 6.50 for lasagna and 7.95 for fish and chips. They didn’t even blame it as a tax.
