Wow... what a terrible visit this turned out to be. I've been to Bar Home quite a few times and never had any issues, today was atrocious. Firstly the barmaid, when I was trying to order my drink, looked at me like I'd killed a puppy in front of her and tutted when I made my order. Secondly, when my friend and I ordered food, it took about 15 minutes for my meal and then about 30 minutes after that for my friend's. No apology, no explanation, the food was placed on the table and the guy just took off. After finishing my first drink, I go to get another one. I stand at the empty bar and have to wait for someone, for around 5 minutes to even get behind the bar, then a random woman walks up as the guy appears at the bar and of course, he serves her first. When the woman said "oh no, please serve him first" the guy tutted as if we'd both done something wrong. With the exception of one woman, every staff member looked miserable and angry at every customer in the premises. While the food was nice, the attitude of every staff member I dealt with was completely unacceptable & it was just terrible customer service. Honestly, I don't know what's happened to this place but the staff are atrocious and they ruined what would have otherwise been a nice experience. I won't be going back here any time...

We walked in off of the street. The sign at the door encouraged us to have a seat and use a QR code to order. So we seated ourselves and used the QR code to get to the menu. After downloading the required app and creating an account didn’t seem possible to just be a guest) we entered a challenging app ecosystem. There were basic descriptions of the food being ordered. When we ordered a burger, we learned you could add bacon OR a cheese. The app would not handle more that 1 “extra”. The drinks you could order with your meal were set in stone. I could never figure out how to order the beer I wanted. When paying I was given the opportunity to add a tip to the bill. That is the culture in California, US so I added 15%. Relatively quickly the waitress brought our drinks without saying a word. Sometime later she brought the average food out, again without saying a word. We did not get a set up and I had to do looking for napkins. The 15% gratuity provided about 10 seconds of interaction with the staff. On the positive side they had live music which was great. So if you come by and there is not entertainment happening, I would go elsewhere. Glasgow has too many options to come...

I had booked this venue for 15 people and also confirmed the day before. When we arrived we where given high tables 2 tables, which we where not informed about and this was not a last min booking we were not sitting together no effort was made their was crackers on other tables, nothing on ours I was then told we did not book the boozy brunch the waitress on arrival was very abrupt about having the table back 1.5hrs later. I had asked could we change to the boozy brunch there has obviously been an error somewhere the reply was nope boozy brunch needs 2 hrs and use only have 1.5hrs. Their was no come in go not even a compromise thought it was shocking especially at Xmas with 15 going off us all going out together. We left as we where very disappointed they didn’t even come near us to see if we wanted a drink when we where leaving I spoke to who I think was the manager not very pleasant I stated I was going to leave a bad review as I was very unhappy about the situation I was told well it would have been our booking line just passing the blame and she also replied and said okay good for you I will not be...
