I had known about this place through my husband who lived in Glasgow for a week. This was the first visit to Glasgow and Kababish. I went with my family and was immediately greeted by friendly staff and the incredible aroma of the naan and Indian spices. It was a busy time of Eid, but we were able to snag a table. The restaurant has marvelous lightning and décor, and the trip is incomplete without a selfie wall which is spectacular.
We ordered very popular items from their menu to share with the family
Appetizer: Mixed pakora, Sizzling Spicy Mushrooms, Garlic Prawns,
Main non-vegetarian course: Baby chicken, Machli grill, Lamb Seekh Kabab, chicken boti, Malai chicken tikka, Namkin Gosht, shahi Haleem
Main Vegetarian course: Paneer Tikka, Dal tadka special, Palak Paneer
Burgers: Chicken Peri peri burger
Bread: Plan Naan, Garlic Coriander Naan, Garlic chili naan, Keema Naan
Desserts and drinks: Strawberry Sunday, awesome variety of ice-creams, Mango lassi, freshly squeezed mixed fruit juice, cappuccino, and sodas. (it was interesting to see sodas is their bottles since in the US they are difficult to find)
The servers were very friendly and delightful. He had just the right balance of friendliness and efficiency, and other staff members made certain that we had everything we needed. The server went in details of the menu, assuring that we would have the food exactly how we preferred.
The food was amazing nostalgic, from the presentation to taste, it was an absolute wonder.
We started with freshly fried papadams with onion, tamarind, and spicy green chutney. Mixed pakora and Spicy Mushrooms were fresh and flavor bombs in the mouth. The main course arrived at a decent time, bread were buttery, crisp, flavorful, and yeasty goodness but not empowering. Dal tadka special, Palak Paneer, Paneer tikka is must order.
From Non-vegetarian menu: The restaurant breaks the character of the oil-packed Haleem, into a flavorful, traditional Pakistani taste, with the right amount of meat, a beautiful presentation and garnishings. Namkin gosht: was recommended by the owner, and it did not disappoint us. Malai chicken: Juicy, soft and flavorful, lamb kabab: perfectly cooked, and our expectations continued to be exceeded. Machli grill: was one of my favorites, and the baby chicken was packed with flavor.
The menu carries a lot of the kids’ friendly options, which were ordered on the table.
The restaurant was decently packed, needless to say, reservations are harder to come by than at any other Orlando’s restaurant that’s opened this year. I think I saw happy and content faces of people leaving the restaurants.
What a lovely restaurant, good food, service, ambiance, must say we were all impressed with the food and highly recommended. Definitely hope to go back. MUST try...
Read moreWe visited Kebabish for an iftar meal, arriving 30 minutes before and promptly placing our order to be ready for 8:05pm the time of iftar. While we received our starter without issue, the main course was significantly delayed. It wasn’t until every other person who came after us received their whole order I decided to politely enquire about the status of our order. The waiter came back looking confused and said it would take five minutes, we were then avoided by staff members until our food was served which was ultimately 20 minutes later. This meant we were served our mains 40 minutes after our starter and one hour after the order was placed.
The blonde waiter who eventually served our food neglected to apologize for the delay. When I asked about the extended wait in a polite manner, he responded defensively, did not let me speak at all, and avoided eye contact, citing that it was because we had ordered a starter... This explanation was illogical, considering we were among the first customers in the restaurant and surely not the only ones who ordered a starter in the WHOLE RESTAURANT.
When I finally managed to speak after the waiter's rehearsed justification (especially as it was a different waiter from the man who served us prior) I said it would have been helpful to be asked if we preferred our starter served before or with our meal. When I suggested that, the waiter indicated he would query it with the staff who took our order. Unfortunately, he then avoided further interaction with us, and no one else inquired about the quality of our meal or if we required anything additional.
While the food itself was satisfactory, the overall service fell short of expectations. As a long-time customer of Kebabish, I was extremely disappointed by this experience and will not be recommending the establishment. It is ridiculous and unprofessional for the staff to blame us for the one-hour delay in our mains from when the order was placed simply because we ordered a starter. Instead simple gestures such as an apology, acknowledgment of the delay, or even a small gesture of goodwill, such as a discount or complimentary fruit due to our fasting state, would have gone a long way in mitigating our dissatisfaction.
This experience has left a lasting impression, and I hope Kebabish takes necessary steps to address these issues and improve their service standards...

My experience was nothing short of a disaster from the moment we arrived. The setup was chaotic, with a party happening in another area that seemed to consume all their resources.
The food quality was shockingly bad. We were served dry kebab rolls filled with overcooked chicken tikka bits. When the kebab finally arrived, it took another ten minutes for the salads to show up. Then, after an additional wait, our second kebab roll came out, but it was just as dry as the first.
We endured another 15 to 20-minute wait before three lackluster curries made their appearance—yet still no naan! Frustrated, we requested a change, only to find that the curries were now cold. They took them back, claiming they were doing us a favor, and after another 15 minutes, the food and naan finally arrived.
This whole ordeal ruined 😡 our experience, and we have no intention of returning ever again and would warn you to do the same . Been once before and was similar- same service same poor quality food.
I spoke to the manager, who apologised and was apparently shocked that we mentioned thr quality of the food. But honestly, it wasn’t just poor—it was revolting. We spent £100 on this meal and received hard, boiled potatoes in the methi aloo (which tasted like it came from a tin), a lamb dish drowning in an inedible sauce with only three small pieces of lamb, and mojitos that tasted flat and came from a carton. The kebabs were cold, and the Sikh kebabs were dry and unappetizing. What more can I say? Sauce arrived sometime later. A joke !!!
To top it all off, I was overcharged for two naans, but they did remove those from the bill. I ended up leaving feeling hungry and frustrated, ultimately settling for a chippy on the way home after spending £100 ON POOR Quality FOOD CRAP SERVICE AND ATTITUDE!
Also, the toilets were in a disgusting state, with water all over the floor and boxes, chairs, and prayer mats blocking the toilet door.
It was just an utter circus of a dining experience. Save yourself the trouble and go get some takeaway instead! 🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️🤦♀️
Glasgow time you had some...
