This place is special. The owner is working to pay for his studies. He is a European arts graduate, now studying the archeology of Nepal. He's pretty cool. And really good to chat to as well. The food was good. Straightforward and a bit more than that. The salad, chips, and extra grilled vegetables were really nice. I had steak which was excellent and my friend had the lasagne. It was fine. And the price is really good value too. At the moment his plans are in disarray. Scottish water are digging up the road, and passing trade has dried up. Delivery drivers can get delayed (hence the poor review below - which was no fault of the owner) - and it's noisy in the daytime. But after 4 pm it's a quiet and relaxing venue . Oh I absolutely loved Maya kitchen and Bar Japanese restaurant in Pert! Highly recommended if you’re in the area. The food? It was simply outstanding. Not only do they serve Japanese food but also offering the authentic Nepalese dishes. The dumplings(Mo:mo) and the chow-min were flavourful and perfectly served.🍜🥟 The sushi was among the BEST I’ve ever had. Fresh and beautifully presented.🍣🍱 Whether you’re a sushi,ramen lover or just looking to try something new this is perfectly a must visit place. Amazing fusion, great food, very friendly staff and lovely atmosphere ☺️ This cozy restaurant has left the best impression 🤗

This newcomer into an already fairly crowded gastro scene of Perth, Maya's deserves your full attention. Dreamed up by two Nepalese friends, the restaurant is indeed an epitomy of love (Maya means love in Nepalese), for food, for home, for friendship and good times. Its simple and cozy dining room features standard tables and inviting sofas and armchairs. Books and games are readily available to keep you occupied while waiting on your order... And the food is incredible! For the foodies we are , we were blown away by how amazing everything tasted - from soups to meats and to salads.
