The Italian Corner — Restaurant in Scotland

Since writing this the owner has contacted me and agreed that it was the packaging and handling that has caused this issue and not the food. I will upgrade my rating to four this is based on my previous experience, the fact he has contacted me and is prepared to put right. Thank you. I usually order from here and not really had any issues. My last order was delivered late the driver said there was a little leakage and handed me the package and made off. The paper bag that it was delivered in was saturated in oil which was part of my meal. This had dripped all over the floor and on my kitchen tops. I tried to rescue what remained but the oil had all leaked out just leaving the pasta. The food was barely warmed and the pasta was overwhelming due to lack of dressing. This obviously was just not leakage but stored incorrectly, poor handling or both. I contacted the Italian corner by email - guess what? not even an iota of a response or an apology. I'm one for supporting and advocating small and local business but if you are going to ignore your customers when something goes wrong then you are not worth it. We came to The Italian Corner for a wee walk-in dinner for two. We found out about this place, via Google, after we were unfortunately turned away by another restaurant.

The food was brilliant. Zero complaints. Some proper hearty Italian food that tastes great. We had bruscetta as starters and spaghetti-carbonara as well as spaghetti-meatballs. You can tell that they care about the quality of the food they serve. Proper Italian ingredients.

Service here was great. The team here is small and pleasant to talk to. Their attitude to delivering quality service is good.

The Italian Corner is undergoing a transformation from takeaway only towards a restaurant, and the venue has the signs of refurbishment.

Don't let the fact that it's undergoing refurbishment prevent you from trying their great food. Whether it's a takeaway or a sit-down meal, you won't be disappointed by the food...

The Italian Corner serves absolutely amazing and authentic food, i've been here three times (so far) and haven't left a thing behind on my plate once. They have Birra Moretti on draught and bottles of Peroni as you'd expect, there's an alcohol free version available as well. I've still to try the wine but the people I've dined with say they are good and the variety is well balanced. The staff here are very friendly and attentive but will also give you time and space if you are in conversation with your company. Your food order will not take long to arrive and with it you are offered fresh parmesan and ground black pepper, served the true Italian way. I cannot fault this place and will definitely be returning...
