Disrespectful owner and staff. If you like to be treated badly go here. You will hate it afterwards. Very rude. Owner treats customers like cattle. Narrow tables, uneven, you sit like cattle again in a cage. Your neighbor is cm away. Not sure about Persian- it is more Turkish/Kurdish food. Looks fancy but I am not impressed about food either, so owner & food - no go. Most important is the owner who is a nightmare, does not understand customer service at all. Very weird behavior. Must go to anger management course and how to work in service environment. On the menu there may be a reference to service charge of 10% (on top of high prices), in my case it was not and I had to debate with the disrespectful lady that this is unlawful. She thought it is not. Service charge was then removed (on request only). Also witnessed that take away clients have to wait outside - like dogs. Owner explained this to a non white person so he felt like a dog. Many people leave and move to other place. My food: Iskender Kebap - very weird interpretation of dish, even I mentioned to have the bread crispy it was just soggy. Just stay away is my recommendation. Read the reply from the owner- pretty much says it all. Can’t even accept comments and blames me for finishing my plate. Except I should have told me the food is not super tasty, then he would have done something?

The food was out of this world! Don't confuse this place with your typical kebab shop or curry house, it is a world apart! The minced lamb kebab was seasoned to perfection! The balance of fresh lamb and eastern spice blew my mind and the accompanying salad cleansed the palate between each moreish mouthful. The lamb and aubergine stew was another mouthwatering marvel. The cubes of lamb were tender and full of eastern flavour, melting in the mouth beautifully. The aubergine (which I'm not usually a fan of) was delicious, it complimented the lamb in both flavour and texture and soaked up all the tantalising flavours from the stew. The addition of a few chip/fries to the stew was a surprise but again, soaking up all those juices and delicate spice, they added another dimension to an awesome dish. The service we received was perfect! The waiting staff were attentive without being in your face, their knowledge of the menu was extensive and the one question they weren't able to answer was met with a smile and "let me just check with the chef" answer that was good to hear. Everyone had a smile on their face and nothing seemed to be any trouble. I really can't fault them. I will definitely be back, sooner rather than later hopefully!

Absolutely phenomenal! Meze Meze in Glasgow offers an exquisite dining experience that transports you straight to the heart of the Middle East. From the moment you step in, the warm and inviting ambiance sets the stage for an unforgettable meal. The menu is a delightful journey through Iranian inspired Middle Eastern cuisine, featuring an array of mezze dishes that are bursting with flavour and beautifully presented. Each dish we tried, from the silky smooth hummus to the perfectly spiced kebabs, was a culinary masterpiece. The freshness of the ingredients and the authenticity of the flavors are truly commendable. The service was impeccable—friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. The staff went above and beyond to ensure our dining experience was perfect, offering great recommendations and accommodating dietary preferences with ease. Alice, our server, was particularly bubbly, a true asset to the business. Whether you’re looking for a romantic dinner spot or a place to celebrate with friends, Meze Meze is the perfect choice. This restaurant is a gem in Glasgow, and I can’t recommend it highly enough. Five stars!

I would give 100 stars for the food the food is absolute perfection in Meze Meze we went there many time... whether is a date night/family birthday or take friends my husband said he has been going there ever since its open and have became friends with the owner he is for sure really lovely.

On Sat I had called as soon as it opened to make a booking as we wanted to take our Iranian friends there .. they have heard about the place but never been and were really excited.

I booked the table for 4 adults a child and a baby for 1pm

We ordered our drinks but my friend order a Yougurt drink so I ask the waitress if I can have the same and she said she can already opened a can so I was like it's okay we can have the can and Yougurt drink aswell I was so confused like u already open a can lol

We ordered our food at this time she was the only waitress she just came and put it on the table and never said anything never came to ask if the food was okay or if you like to order something else her attitude was literally off we ask for more food I ask for another Kobideh Kebab she just brought 1 skewer of kebab I ask we order the full meal she said no u only ask for 1 skewer honestly we still didn't say anything and were enjoying our food

It was about 2.10 pm another waitress came and said if we can leave the table in 15mins at this time we felt like the food just came and we were all eating and talking we all got so shocked and were like we just got the food

Honestly the service was absolutely ridiculous I went to speak to her and said they are our guests we especially brought them here and we're all so excited but this girl made the experience really bad we didn't even finish our food and got up in literally 5 mins paid the bill and left

Normally we always have our dessert and teas aswell we went to different place for it but honestly her attitude was absolutely horrible and she was so unprofessional. just because of her our meal was ruined and all of us couldn't believe...

I recently had the unfortunate experience of dining at Meze Meze, and I must say it was one of the most disappointing and disheartening dining experiences I have ever encountered. What should have been an enjoyable evening out with friends turned into a night marred by blatant homophobia and an unwelcoming atmosphere perpetuated by the staff.

Upon entering the restaurant, we noticed the kitchen staff staring at us in a really weird way and then started laughing out of the sudden, also we noticed that several tables were occupied with diners enjoying their meals. The hostess informed us that the restaurant was only offering takeout service at the moment. This was confusing, given that we arrived before the closing time more than an hour and we could clearly see other guests being served at their tables. We politely questioned this, pointing out the inconsistency, but the hostess insisted, rather curtly, that there were no exceptions and we could only place an order for takeout.

When we asked to speak to the manager about the incident, we were met with indifference. The manager said that they don’t even serve takeout cause they are closing which was very confusing cause it says in Google maps they close at 10PM which is after more than an hour at that time, also she offered no apology and instead defended her staff, implying that we were overreacting.

I urge the management of restaurant to take these issues seriously. Discrimination in any form is unacceptable, and ensuring a welcoming environment for all patrons should be a priority. Training staff on inclusivity and respect is crucial to prevent future incidents like this. Until significant changes are made, I cannot recommend the restaurant to anyone, particularly members of the LGBTQ+ community who deserve to dine without fear of discrimination...

Myself and two coworkers went to order food for takeaway. Something was off from the start. The staff and the owner - an elderly man; were distinctly unfriendly. The restaurant had 4 tables free and we ordered our food and asked to sit and wait. We were told to wait outside which was quite windy at the time.

The moment this happened, I wanted to cancel my order but as it was lunch hour and we had walked 20mins to get there, I ignored the behaviour. 10 mins later, there was still some issue with the orders so I asked what was wrong and we were told that we should either pay in bulk or merge 2 orders into 1 and pay. They provided no reason as to why we had to do this and again we looked at other tables with multiple customers.

I then cancelled the order, which conveniently, hadn't even been cooked after the 10+mins we had been waiting outside. The owner was immediately okay with this and acted as though losing £40+ in food orders was no real issue and a relief. One of my friends wanted to change her order to chips which was already easy and quick to make. This took another 15mins of standing around. I neglected to mention that two of us are black and the third, Asian. All female. It shouldn't be the first thing we thought of but we noted that there were no other minority customers and other reviews have pointed at similar incidents.

We went to another restaurant across the road who were absolutely fantastic and provided us with frankly better food and experience. We're going there again later this week because they treated us like...
