Food was excellent, the burgers were enormous and tasty, and there was a fantastic vegetarian selection for my mum too. Reasonably priced, comes with fries, comes quick enough. whole thing was just a fantastic experience.
I was motivated to leave the review by the way we left, we were really in a hurry and chased up the bill quick as we could and then scampered out to make our time at the hydro, felt bad after leaving that we spotted they didn't have an autmomatic service charge, and we had really chased them even though they weren't taking an outrageous amount of time at all, its just that we were in a mega rush.
I can't believe it, all the times i've moaned about a service charge and had it removed so i can tip cash, often just out of principal and leave the same amount of tip in cash but i just hate the practice so much, and this one time when the service was so good and the food fantastic and the staff so accomodating and we had chased the staff and then left no tip. mortifying.
all i can say to the staff is we will absolutely definitely be back soon, next time we're in the west of glasgow 100%, and we'll bring friends a plenty and we'll tip double. we're really sorry if you thought us rude, the experience was terrific and we definitely reccomend that anyone in the area gives them a try.
we also had a gin and lemonade and pint of innis and gunn, both about as good as you'de expect, but the food was the real big selling point, we were so so impressed.
I think our server was named callum, he was fantastic and definitely desvered the tip. Sorry again, but definitely absolutely go in and give the burgers a whirl. a superb evening meal. extravegant without being impossible to eat, spicy without being...
Read moreWent on a work night out here a few months ago for a leaving do. It's local to our office and most work nights out will go through at some point.
We were dealing with a very strange bartender (Beard, Red Plaid Shirt), who appeared to be on some kind of power trip. Firstly, he ID'd the youngest member of the group, which is strange but fair enough (He's 26 with a group of 35+ colleagues, so a little odd but rules are rules). The real power trip took place when the bartender refused to serve anyone in the group anymore as "Those two women are drunk". "Those two women" were the only members of the group who were not getting another drink, so why they mattered at all to this order was suspect (they were also the only two women in the group, so it's extremely strange). Both women had only 1 drink all evening, and the entire group had just had a 3 course meal, so they could hardly have been further from intoxication.
I noticed some members of the group had left their coats in the booth (it was an empty Tuesday night, with at least 3 booths free) and this bartender kept looking over at them. It seems that he had an issue with this, so instead of dealing with the issue he instead went on a sexist power-trip.
As i said, this place was a regular for our workplace but after this occurred and was discussed around the office, no work events will take place here.
We left immediately due to the group feeling uncomfortable with a bartender who singled out the only women in the group. We went to Brass Monkey next door and had a fantastic evening with the wonderful bartender they had on that evening.
Such a shame, used to be a great place for work nights but unfortunately this one odd bartender has marred the...
Read moreI'm ashamed to say that I am a rock dad, I live locally (25 minutes walk) and this was my first time visiting and being part of this superb "experience", I'm going to phrase it. What the heck have I been doing? Why didn't I know about how good Lebowskis was? Arranged to meet old friends with my 15 year old daughter before the Iron Maiden gig Monday 30th June. Booked a table as advised for the younger attendee (can stay until 8pm I believe). We were absolutely bowled over. Staff were cool, hard working, so friendly, very busy, and rock folks! Music was superb. Food was absolutely brilliant - menu, concepts, presentation and the cooking of course - delicious. All at our table were very happy. My 15 year old was raving about it to all her friends - she was at a rock pub with her dad, great music - she could name all the songs (classic rock/metal), great staff, great customers (all Iron Maiden fans!), very cool decor/design within, and she said the toilet was lovely 😆 - true praise indeed! The whole experience of Lebowskis was fantastic and perfect. This visit, with a superb gig, absolutely made the day and night for us. Still kicking myself on why I have never been, but, now I have a 15 year old rock fan and we are allowed to book a table with friends and I can enjoy a couple of nice lagers and a delicious chicken breast burger with lovely sides, fries etc, we will be back without a doubt. It's a rock dad's dream come true. I have found the garden of rock Eden! Thank you everyone for making us all feel so welcome and for working so hard that day to make our visit...
