So after noticing again and again that this shop and its standards are really low, I decided this morning to speak to a manager for just a minute and ask when they will have soya milk again. Upon noticing me he said to me that I have 'complained before'. :). Actually, I didn't complain before I merely asked why you can't seem to buy the same thing twice in this lidl sometimes. I mean honestly, the place is unpleasant to visit too as half the staff just are not polite and the looks I get from the staff are anything but friendly. So, today I asked if they will have soya milk again as I'm lactose intolerant, and all of a sudden they had none. Had the soya supply ran dry? Not only this, but I pointed out that many items that have advertised prices have the wrong prices on them, as I've noticed countless times at the tills that I'm being charged something different from the prices being advertised just underneath the product. I've pointed this out and weeks later they still haven't updated some of the price tags and we're still being charged more than they advertise things at. It’s just shoddy and really lacking.

In short, this store is not good and the manager looks at me in a manner that I honestly dread encountering. Entirely inconsistent stock that often means it is difficult finding the same thing twice(2nd time making this point), and on top of this usually only ever 1 of the 5 manned tills with a person working at it. It looks totally understaffed and to be quite honest, the experience of going there gets to be more and more unpleasant as time goes on. I live in Finnieston and this is ultimately the only real reason for going here for little things, but never a full shopping.

This is an updated review of this place too. It’s now 2023 September and the place is as bad as it’s ever been. Many of the staff are entirely dour, and it really doesn’t make for any kind of positive shopping experience. I think it reflects really badly too on Lidl, and I'd go as far as to say that I'll never come in here with my family.

Don't bother coming here for a proper shop folk, the store is genuinely kinda crap. For a handful of things you can suffer it, otherwise I’d go somewhere else that isn’t considering their market to only be students.

I reiterate here:CRAP!

PS Notice a distinct lack of any kind of response to this review from the business. There is not even a basic attempt to communicate when clearly a (regularly visiting) member of the public is not happy, and to find that in the past I've encountered aggression when pointing out to them that the price that they advertised artificial grass at was much less than it is supposed to be, meaning they were under charging for it, really speaks volumes about the kind of contempt they have for some of the public.

"You've complained before' I was told the first time I ever asked about the price of something that was advertised incorrectly. This is the kind of mentality you're up agains't in the this place.

Further update: 21-1-25

This company are a real genuinely irresponsible bunch I cant help but feel. Here is a Four Cheese Macaroni I’ve just bought from them. On the back of it there are instructions saying this is ok to microwave. Try this folk and see what happens with most microwaves. Providing the edges are not bent, you're likely still going to see a lovely little light show, but with older microwaves I'd be very wary of placing this in to heat your up your food.

Lidl in Scotland and no doubt most of the UK are a kind of bad joke sometimes. A dangerous and rude and bad joke, but I'm hoping this is at least safe to some extent.

As someone who has a child in Munich and who goes back and forth, comparing lidl there to the lidl here in Finnieston is like comparing chalk and cheese. In Germany it is well stocked, usually immaculate, and the staff seem to be well versed in simply how to be polite, courteous, and lastly...

Used the recycling machine got £2.50 voucher towards my shopping. This is the only store in the Glasgow area that has a machine. Went to Lidl Finnieston yesterday, I won't be going back to that store because there was no attempt to stop people coming into the store without a face mask, I counted around 20 people who were not wearing masks, I told the manager about this be he did nothing about it, instead he helped a woman who was not wearing a mask he did not even challenge her. No wonder we are in level 3 with people not obeying the rules, it's just selfishness and recklessness on the managers part. If you want to be safe avoid the Finnieston store...

In G-3, this is one of the Best shop for your day to day needs having Wide variety of products.

*Very reasonable rates for veggies and fruits considering the other shop in vicinity.

*Frozen veggies and frozen ready to eat pizza are Good in quality and quality.

*Their bakery section is awesome and offers many Good products

*Staff is very cooperative in nature.

With their Lidl Plus application, we can actually grab products at cheaper price.

With the offers like weekly picks we can decide what to buy in next week well in advance.

Only one request/suggestion: Considering huge Indian crowd living in this area, please start keeping indian...

One of the best cleanest and well equipped Lidl of Glasgow. Very nice clean and always restocked shelves, kind personnel and great produce. Toilet in the back and self checkout available too. Parking is for 90 mins free for Lidl customers and can be validated after finishing your shopping and scan your receipt on the way out.

Fantastic new LIDL store in the heart of finnieston. Great sized aisle and super clean with lots of choice. Wheelchair and pram friendly, with both manned and self serve checkouts. Great addition to the area! Also great that there is now foot access from Minerva Street!
