Read moreNeeded what is known in Scotland as a 'Peeesh!' quite urgently. The terrible public toilets had already swallowed what spare change I had, and not allowed one entry. In my desperate hour of need I attended the nearby local Fish and Chip Shop.
Starvation was not far around the corner, so I was prepared to buy the local produce in the hopes of receiving the spare change I oh so required. Whilst standing in the doorway of the said Fish and Chip Shop and fumbling with my mask strings, my eyes gazed upon the endless signs of information. Local delicacies of Deep Fried (what i assumed to be) fish was surrounding an unpleasant large sign stating 'No Toilet Change Given'!!!.
At this very moment of dread which came over me, I was rudely awoken from my inner thoughts by what I can only assume is the local language being spouted at me from behind the counter. Between sounds of gargled venomous anger and flames to blind the naked eye, I could make out something about putting my mask on or to get out by the feisty Chip Shop Man!!
Suffice to say i didn't waste my time any further,.. mostly out of fear!!!
Ps, Bushes are around the back...
Read moreProbably the worst Chippy I have ever had. Waited an age for two fish suppers. The staff were inexperienced, rude and not suited to that line of work. The fish were very small. The batter was stodgy and the chips were undercooked. The portion of chips to accompany the small fish was also small. Both my friend and I asked for more chips only to be met with "That's all the chips you're getting" from the most ignorant member of staff I have encountered in a Chip Shop. It was very overpriced for the portion and the quality. Don't wast your money here. Walk two minutes round the corner towards Lochness to the Canal Side or Moorings where you will not be disappointed by either the food or the service. If every other place is closed apart from MONSTER FISH AND CHIPS get a taxi to Inverness of Fort William. It will be money better spent than this awful place. Oh, and if your thinking of going by the review written by Yan Zheng at the bottom. Remember this is written by someone that comes from a country that has a festival for...
