Was worst experience ever from start to end. have been here a few times now with family and never experienced anything like it. Arrived seated within 10 minutes was left for over 30 mins from been seated waiting for order to be taken, once waitress did come we gave order and asked for it to be brought out all together another 15 minute wait we received our drinks well most of drinks apart from one and our nachos which were bit burnt on top but the rest was fine they were still nice was still waiting for rest of food to arrive 20 mins from getting that bit of order the other drink we ordered (milkshake) had been made and was a mess was all dripping down glass looked like had been made and forgotten to be brought out. I asked the girl if we could get out mains as we were still waiting for them that was fine waiting yet again 15 minutes which baring in mind now other customers where be brought in seated getting there orders took and food placed infront of them all within 20 minutes tops the whole time we had been in, we waited that 15 mins then I approach the girl serving our table and asked nicely if we could get our mains as we were still waiting and other customers where coming in getting there food n we had been waiting ages now for her to walk away shaking her head raising her hands up to her head and approach other colleagues she works with not very professional. Our mains then arrived within 10 mins of that and didnt look good, some was cold and from looking at it most of it looked like it had been cooked ages ago and left sitting out my 17 year got the steak which we asked for well done was raw she felt sick at this point we gave up we had been in there for just over two hours by now a night out to celebrate a birthday just ruined we got the server and showed her the steak said about rest of food which she said she would get another one for her but by this point we all gave up with it we lost our appetite and asked to speak to manager. There was no manager in tonight so the team leader came over to speak to us which she was really lovely and couldnt apologise enough she seen how much we never ate and the state of the food there was gd amount of customer in but couldn't really blame it on been busy since everyone else was getting there orders no problems. She came back and apologised again my husband and daughter had left at this point now the team leader came back with bill but had cut it down as a jester of good will for what had happened which was happy to pay for what we did actually eat and drink but not the rest. Read moreI am writing to express my dissatisfaction with my recent experience at your Glasgow Fort location on Friday, 7th March 2025. Unfortunately, my visit was far from enjoyable, and I feel compelled to share my feedback.
Upon arrival, there was no greeting at the door, and I had to wait almost 10 minutes for a staff member to acknowledge us. When a staff member (a girl with ginger hair, I believe) eventually arrived, I informed her that I had a booking for 5. Instead of a friendly response, she scoffed, making me feel embarrassed for having booked in advance.
Our waiter, Adam Boyle (as listed on the receipt), was quick to take our order, which included 2 Diet Pepsis and a Red Neck Burger and Return of the Mac for our meal. The food arrived promptly within 20 minutes, but despite this, we were still waiting for our drinks. It seemed like an unreasonable delay for such simple orders, especially considering that the restaurant wasn’t particularly busy.
While the food was brought to our table, neither of our Diet Pepsis had arrived. I noticed the staff, including a strawberry blonde-haired girl and another boy, standing around chatting, seemingly oblivious to the fact that we were still waiting for our drinks. After a while, my partner approached them to inquire about the delay. The girl casually sipped on her juice and responded, “2 minutes,” which felt dismissive and unprofessional.
Overall, I found the atmosphere to be unwelcoming, and the behavior of the staff was both rude and indifferent. The lack of attention to basic service, such as delivering drinks with the meal, left a very negative impression. Unfortunately, due to the poor service and overall experience, I will not be returning to Monterey Jack's.
I will not be back and would not recommend anyone to go to this branch unless you want...

She eventually showed us to a table to which was bogging and not cleaned properly.. she took drink and food orders from us and we waited 15 mins for drinks and food to be brought to the table. Upon arriving, the food had to be sent back due to the maccaroni being dry and tasteless they brought a replacement order out, to which the burger was also dry and tasteless aswell. Not one staff member came near to ask if anything was OK and never did a check back. They walked by staring and also noticed staff eating from a bowl at the kitchen counter while on duty.. i asked for the bill and was given a receipt to which our order came to £73.90 I asked if there was any way we could have a discount because our food was really bad the waiter said let me see and I will ask manager. He came back, to which £20 odd pounds was taken of. I paid for a bill with a card, but my card declined several times because I didn't put the right amount into my account. The waiter was making faces and being rude through this process. The girl that served us told us that when we told the place and food has went down hill and that we wouldn't be returning said I agree that is why the staff don't eat here and go elsewhere. I was taken aback and shocked because I've been at this restaurant many times and food at that time was good quality.
