Nando's Glasgow - Braehead — Restaurant in Scotland

Was going to McDonald's for lunch then saw there was a Nando's in Braehead so went there instead. Didn't need to queue, got seated right away. There was a bit of queue when ordering which is normal in Nando's but the place didn't look busy. Ordered everything and said it will be 5-10mins. Thought she was just being polite as normally it's a bit longer than that so wasn't expecting a plate of chicken in front of me in 10mins. Waited ages, which I noticed there was lots of plates under the light waiting to be served. When I got the food it was wrong and had to send it back which ended up waiting even longer. While we were waiting, the table next to me (which was a women that queued in front of me earlier on) had finished their meals and paid and left. When the food finally came we were so happy but when we ate it the food wasn't hot. The chicken was warm-ish. The starters were all cold. Told a waiter and he apologised and went said they will make a new one for us. When we finally got the food, third time lucky maybe. Order was correct and food was hot. I did realised the mash potatoes there was bits of mash all around the edges of the bowl and a nice untouch blob of mash in the middle. I'm guessing they used the previous bowl again or just microwaved it of some sort. At that point I didn't really are to be honest. Was there for...

Their was a wait which we were fine with but the guy was quite rude about it, went away and came back table was waiting for us, we got our table all fine, getting served for our food order girl was rude and not letting us finish what we were saying, sort of half listening, anyway we got our drinks the ice maker was full of ice no staff looking after the station as there was also no forks!! Didn't say anything to anyone as the place just seemed either understaffed or as is the staff didn't want to be there, while waiting on our food one of the guys that worked in the kitchen i think shouted across the restraunt to one of his fellow colleague's (not very professional) we FINALLY got our food after about 20/25 mins, baring in mind there was a wait but when we sat down there was lots of tables empty but the kitchen did seem busy still, their were lots of orders sitting ready but no one seemed to care about delivering them to customer probably why we were waiting so long. Once we recieved our food no one came to check it was alright (the chicken table number thing was still there and we had finished) Not my best...

I've been to this Nando's a few times now and can't say that it is as good as other branches. During our last visit they were completely understaffed for the amount of customers and as a result terribly disorganised. We waited almost 45 minutes to receive our food and we saw larger parties than ours who ordered later being served first. When I finally located a member of staff and complained our food was finally brought over but was it considerably colder than I would have liked. I did receive an apology for the wait but no one came to the table to ask if our food was ok and we simply left rather than wait another 20 minutes for a member of staff to become free so that we could complain. The other problem with this branch is the location of the drinks dispenser. It is in the corner on the right side of the restaurant and is quite a walk for anyone who is seated near the bathrooms on the left. There is also never any vinegar out at the sauce stations and I have always had to ask at the counter for this. I don't think I will be returning to this branch until they have invested in more staff...
