food was good, unfortunately it is unclear how to be seated, and once seated whether or not it is table service or "go to the bar" the first time we were in, we got table service, and the second time we were in they said it was too busy and they were taking orders at the bar. Not so great, since there was no way of knowing, and mum was looking around a lot trying to catch attention. I signalled a waitress, and she just kept walking and didn't say go to the bar basically she ignored me! both times we were in we waited at the door to be taken to a table like the sign said, but no-one came, we told them that we would pick our own table, but since the waitress didnt know where we were, she didnt then come to find us for our order. Like I say though the food was very good, at least I hope it was, if the kitchen is as lax as the shop floor, then it might just have seemed like it was okay. We wont be back here. sure the place is right at the door, and they have lots of patrons since they are "so big" in peoples perception, however, if everyone posts a review like this one, in various places, then the company will see a hit to profits, and might have to shelve the outlet. again unfortunate, because the food is good to eat, and a good price. honestly, people are becoming more discerning these days, I'd rather pay 20 quid more, and know...

We normally have such a good experience here at the projectionist that’s why we come back time and time again but unfortunately today it let us down
Firstly we had 4 issues with the food, being item missing from plate & seasoning added to the chips that wasn’t asked for. The chips were changed but the missing item still wasn’t on the plate. The bangin katsu banquets portion of rice was very very sparse, this is a item from the menu that our party has ordered a lot on previous occasions and we had a picture from previous occasions to compare the portions size of the rice to and there was a significant difference. We then asked if it can get sorted. A plate of rice was brought to our table and it was about no more then 2-3 spoonfuls of rice which was not a lot and we had stated that it was 2 of the katsu banquet meals that our party got and that’s all the rice they brought to to split between 2 people.
We then had asked for something to take some leftovers away and they didn’t bring anything and seemed to us that they were avoiding coming round to where our table was so therefore we had to go up to the bar and ask again for something to wrap up the leftovers.
We weren’t very happy with the service or the food considering we spent £100+ for our...
Read moreSo I'm not one for writing reviews, this is the first review I have ever written on a restaurant in my life, and unfortunately it is because it was a bad experience. At lunchtime today (19/08/20) things were not great from the start, I understand following social distance guidelines but when we entered the Projectionist we were immediately confronted questioned and asked to wait outside (as we were not with the couple ahead of us) by a rude waiter with glasses, it seemed as though we were a big inconvenience to him as he was cleaning tables around the restaurant.
After a 15 min wait or so we finally got in and were seated. When I went up to the bar to order food (I would have ordered on the app but I wanted sweet potato fries instead of regular fries with my burger) The same waiter confronted me and again in a rude manner asked me if I had tried using the app and if I was ordering at the bar it was cash only, even though it said cash and card at the bar? I never had any cash on me and ended up ordering through the app and getting the sweet potato fries as a side plus the normal chips that I never ate. All in all, it was not a...
