Nero Pizzeria — Restaurant in Scotland

Came here for a birthday meal and have to say, we left disappointed. They know their pizza well, however their pasta dishes don't meet the mark. The Scottish chef doesn't quite have the understanding to produce a true Italian dish. Arrabbiata pasta is fundamental to any Italian menu, however the penne itself was clumped together in many places, and the sauce was scarce, lacking that vital deep richness it is known for. You should never need to salt an Arrabiata at the table. The spaghetti Puttanesca had to be sent back, lacking any taste of anchovies, only for the chef to begrudgingly remake the dish. This led to my partner and I eating at separate times, taking away from the experience and togetherness. Though the service was top notch, considering the prices overall aren't too different from our regular nearby Bar Leo, I would always suggest going there instead for better overall traditional Italian atmosphere, food, and quality...

Bring back FITS. Despicable attitude from the manager! After placing an order on just eat, turned up and delivered the wrong pizza I had ordered (margarita with added toppings of chorizo and Italian sausage) recieved a pizza with no cheese🤣. Called them and the staff confirm this is a common problem when ordering on just eat. Their issue not mine! Manager calls and very arrogantly states you got delivered what you ordered! Explained what his staff had told me (error in system when ordering on just eat) still in a very arrogant manner tried to blame myself. The lack of customer service and arrogance is astounding. Linlithgow is not a big place and I would advise people to stay clear of this place! due to management and their complete lack of customer service & arrogance. The manager did rectify and delivered the order but again still...

Placed order online just before half past 7 on a Friday evening. Once I had placed and paid for the 2 pizzas, I was informed that it would not be delivered until 9.15! I would never have placed the order if we had been advised before paying for it that it would be that long. In fact, the order did not actually arrive until 9.35 - over two hours for a delivery of 2 pizzas! To add insult to injury, the pizzas were cold and one did not even have all of the ingredients which were on the order! Very poor. It will be a very long time before I try using them again and would be reluctant to recommend them based on this latest order. I would have preferred to provide the feedback directly to Nero themselves but unfortunately their app does not...
