Pepe's — Restaurant in Scotland

I visited Pepe's yesterday for the first time yesterday and was so excited in doing so after this particular Pepe's was highly recommended to me. The first time I ever tried Pepe's Piri Piri chicken was three weeks ago and I couldn't wait for my family to try it as it tasted so good. Unfortunately my experience has been utterly disgraceful. On approaching the service counter it was a young lady who took my order. Her face had a scowl on it and her attitude in serving me was the exact same. She clearly was in a bad mood and didn't want to be there and serving customers and let everyone know it. But alas, when two attractive young men came in she quickly brightened her face, smile and demeanor then after they left returned to being a grump. A young tall broad man rudely told me to wait at the side for my order. I thought, ok, maybe everyone in here is having a bad day or its just the general attitude of the staff who work in here. I received my order, drove home to my family as even though I'd had a horrible customer service experience I knew the tasty food was going to make up for it! Did it? No, it dam well didn't 😡😡!! I opened the packaging, divided up the chicken, wings etc and as we sat down and began eating our 'peri peri' chicken it was bloody well curry??!!! 😡😡😡😡😡 If I had wanted to eat chicken curry, I would've stayed at home and ordered it. I am so DAM ANGRY that you cooked and gave me curry chicken instead of peri peri chicken that I ordered. How dare you mess with someone's food like that and I've kept the evidence to take and show to another Pepe's shop! How dare you!!! How dam well dare you!! None of us ate it and you ruined our dinner!! Disgraceful, utterly disgraceful that you did this!!! I will NEVER return here and I WILL be telling as many people as I know so that they avoid coming in here and having the same horrific experience....

I came here on work break. Quite disappointed with the cost to portion ratio with the food. £10.29 for a wee little wrap, wee portion of chips and drink, way overpriced, I understand operations costs but it's a catch 22 when your customers leave still hungry, why not fill your wraps with more cheap veg to bulk it up, or have larger cups for your premix drinks? The food quality was alright enough, but honestly, this is the reason why I just don't eat out all that much in this country, paying premium prices for very mediocre food and small portions seems to be a very common thing in the UK. The service was very slow for a fast food service, seeing 6-7 workers in the kitchen but with diners making up less than half capacity on a Monday lunchtime, even with delivery app orders on the pass (very few I saw.) WORST PEPES IN AND AROUND GLASGOW!! Avoid at all costs as we will now be. 1 in 5 times is the average of them getting our order correct. We spend £50 each order and ask for a few changes to certain meals almost EVERYTIME i arrive home 14 miles away and they have gotten the order wrong. The staff in this shop when i call to complain are always very hostile and in denial of the situation. Tonight, again my order was wrong they had to then remake the order taking up more of our time. This month over £400 has been spent in this store alone and this is the kind of service that is received. Atrocious!
